What does tube bias do for sound?
In addition to what Audiolover posted, I can add that if there is a single bias adjustment for all the tubes on a side, then they might not be linnear if the bias is adjusted far from the reccomended setting.
Power Line Conditioners
The quality of the power coming from the PANAMAX is sometimes worse than what went into it. I measured it a couple of years ago and got rid of mine. Just because something is recommended in StereoShill doesn't mean it's any good. If you have a clo...
Power Plants PS300?
If you have space in a closet or other room, see my posting about Hospital grade power plants in other section. Equal or better quality power at a fraction of the cost.
Powersnakes and Power Plants
I've had Hospital grade power plants for many years. You can get them from several power conditioning companies. The quality of the power output is unmatched (measured using State of the Art test gear). Because they're not in the Audiophile market...
Antijitter
I have a Theta Jade and found that one so called "anti-jitter" or "jitter reducer"device actually added jitter. The device can only reduxce jitter if the transport itself has more jitter than the so called "jitter reducer". I still believe that da...

VINYL SURFACE NOISE
About a month ago I ran into an old Audiophile friend who I hadn't seen in about 25 years. He recognized me and asked if I still made my record cleaning solutions. ( I used to be a Chemist working with delicate devices that used vinyl compartments...
Anyone ever hear of Bolivar Speaker Works?
I remember them from 20 years ago. I remember someone telling me they folded in the mid 80s. Someone was trying to sell me a pair of their speakers at the time.
Looking for a database for recordings
Ther used to be an add in the back of Jazz Times for a product. It had the ability to read your CDs and fill out the database automatically.
Good quality KT88 power tubes?
I will chime in with another reccomendation for Kevin at Upscale audio and his choice of KT90s.
Best speaker for 6 grand max.
At only $4k, the Dunlavy SC-III is a steal. I will be reposting my light oak SC-IIIs soon at a price of $2400 plus shipping.
