Sonic Frontiers is bankrupt?
Sad news indeed. I spent 3 happy years with a SL-1 pre that is still making great music on a friends system. They made good gear.

BMG Music Club - new twist
BMG stopped its mail-order club in Canada over a year ago. Columbia House is the only one left. With no competion, I might add.....still, I've bought all my Keb Mo from them and picked up nickel Creek and some other stuff I was surprised to see......

Just a thought. The sim amps do sound good and work well with tube preamps...I've heard three tube pre and sim amps and actually had one at one time....they mix well. Do try to hear the amp on a tube pre before you buy. Then you'll have a pretty g...

Great topic, excellent replies everyone....Timbre and pacing start it for me but all of the above is important and I agree, live is live and all we can do is reprduce what is on the record....the end result can be pretty amazing and darn satisfyin...

Consistency with power cords?
Sugarbrie. That makes sense. Question. What was your Power conditioner? Did it have a detachable cord. I use a monster 2000. It does not have a detachable cord.....It would probably void the warrranty to do so....suggestion? Thanks...
