Shipping speakers from West Coast to East Coast 3 weeks and they can't tell you what's going on. Refund, thanks.
Are internal component upgrades worth it. I believe Volti learned most of what he knows from working with Klipsch speakers and has surpassed them, and seems really grateful for this path.
Verity Audio speaker parts I believe there were three versions of the Parsifal Encore eventually leading to the Ovation and eventually Anniversary. Not sure if the changes were driver or crossover related.
The Music Room - Boulder Colorado No problems, easy to deal with, prompt. They didn't offer me what I wanted for my amp but tough nuts, they have bills to pay too. Anyone remember Johnny the Audio Pimp? At least these TMR guys are legit and stable.
Maybe critical listening skills are bad? If we can agree that we see differences in art or beauty that are are a consequence of physical, mental, and perhaps emotional, we begin to see the complexity in which are audio preferences are shaped. We generally arrange our music systems to fi...
Buying used audio equipment in peron in Canada All in all, it's just another brick in the wall.
Who uses ADS Speakers My dad bought a pair of 910's in the late 70's I think. Brought it all home with a Mc C-28 and MC2125. I would crank the bass and blow the tweeter fuse on occasion. 3 amp I think. Fun speaker, he still has them in his shop. Can they be refurbished?
Anybody having trouble getting near-your-asking-price for used gear ? (Plz. no hype) I’ve been buying and selling on this and Amart for near 20 years now. I’m currently seeing record numbers of listings. During covid there were record lows. I’ve noticed that many buy and sell based on market conditions. Having a great year, dip in...
any members in Montana I'm in Falmouth MA, not too far from New Haven. Much closer than Billings to Missoula MT.
Devore O/96 with high powered amplifiers Low power Jazz and small scale, keep the power for large scale. I had the O/93 with a little Leben and a bigger Coda. I liked things about both. The low power tubes will just sound incredible through the speaker. You will hear the magic of the a...
any members in Montana When I was in Missoula in the early 90's one of the members of Pearl Jam had a place just outside of town. It was a real popular place with the college ladies. As if competitions wasn't tough already, maybe that pushed the animal husbandry laws o...
$3500 floor standing speakers used. What would be your choice ? A nice combo would be the Devore Nines, the original, not the new Super Nines. They lack a little transparency compared to the newer ones but it your not needing the last bit of resolution (which you won't get at $3500) keep your eyes open locally...
any members in Montana If any of you are on Facebook there's a site called Where In Montana Is this- Has some interesting photos and some simple local commentary. This pops up occasionally in between speakers and tube amps.
any members in Montana I'd agree with the above statistics. Missoula is a college town with lots of outside influence but beautiful place to live (like lots of smaller towns once were). Work as I recall was very competitive because it was a place where people wanted ...
any members in Montana I lived in Missoula for a while, that was a great time! |
