Integrated amp for 2500-3000
I have a Supernait 3 driving a pair of Harbeth's and love this amp. I've owned Luxman, McIntosh, Coda, Sugden, and many other SS amps and the Supernait is nicely done. Never heard the Hegel but seems solid too but wasn't sure about all the digital...
Differences between Harbeth, Spendor, Graham, etc. ?
@stuartk Just wanted to speak more clearly that these transport me to that live in the room sound with magic between the speakers. I've owned many speakers that demonstrate this but saw less and less play over time. Somehow the 7XD is far from fat...
Differences between Harbeth, Spendor, Graham, etc. ?
@stuartk I'm very sensitive to brightness too, some speakers even making my ears ring after listening. The C7 brings me very close to that liveliness and detail without crossing over the edge. Something here is nicely done. If you want deep bass w...
Do Harbeth speakers really need a 4000 damping factor?
I have the 7XD with a Leben 300XS and a Supernait 3. They both present wildly different characteristics. The Leben is a holdover from a different speaker and it sounds beautiful at low volumes but doesn't present a soundstage or have bass anything...
JA Pulsars vs Harbeth 30.2
@pdreher Yes I picked up a pair of C7esxp's and really enjoy them. Now my room did change and as a result I'm positioning these (moving them) when I really want to sit and listen. That said they're really enjoyable and there is real magic happenin...
HiFi satisfaction and/ or Musical enjoyment
In my experience there is a fine line between getting that "you are there" sound and crossing into fatigue and brightness. I've also learned for myself that the source is tremendous importance. Enjoyment of music is my goal and it's taking less s...
JA Pulsars vs Harbeth 30.2
I finally bought the C7 Harbeth and really enjoy the sound and dimensionality with the Naim Supernait 3. I got burned out with chasing presence and hearing brightness, etc. The Harbeth is somehow very present without brightness. These are keepers....
Wilson Watt 3/Puppy 2 Loudspeaker
The WP3 would make a good mailbox if didn't have the angle. The first I heard was the WP6 and remember hearing the 8 and was impressed with the major advancement at the time.
speakers that are a little laid back in the mids
I had the Otello for about 2 years and would have never called the midrange forward. I'd say if anything, as much as I loved this speaker, I had a tough time making it more aggressive when the music called for it.  You might have an aversion to d...

Is it true the Revival lacks resolution?
Anyone at home at Krell?
Who is their top retail seller in the US? I’d think the dealer network, especially one that moved lots of product might have some information. Or a company they went and attended show with. Maybe not, sounds like lights out. Too bad always had my ...
Cornwall IV vs. Volti Rival, Razz; Razz v. 1, 2, 3 -- what changed?
Hey everyone, So, I’ve been wondering about Silverfox—remember him? The user who seemed to have an endless supply of enthusiasm about his speaker reports? His excitement was practically contagious! But then, poof—he vanished without a trace. I c...
Cornwall IV vs. Volti Rival, Razz; Razz v. 1, 2, 3 -- what changed?
I haven't been on Agon in a few weeks and come back to this thread. It's like a pimp beat down. What happened?
Volti Voyage - New Razz
Great story, I've driven about that far for a pair of Verity speakers in the past. I know you are not talking about a new speaker, but as far as the Razz is concerned, do you know how many versions there have been? Are they marked in any way, or h...
Coherent speakers from Canada
Can someone buy the Coherents for sale on USAM today (7/17/24) and review them? They look really interesting but I shake in my boots when I think of this kind of tweeter in my ear. Most that have heard them seem to like them.  I've had conversati...
