What do you say to your audiophile friends who say you just listen to your equipment more I tell them that they’re right (sometimes) and also point out that they are smarter than I because they can be satisfied with a $50 Bluetooth speaker while I have to spend at least 20% of my income to truly enjoy the sound...
Fear of Streaming None of my turntables is in working order right now. My Gyrodec tonearm needs cleaned and the cart needs retipped. I have been listening to my budget streamer for the last couple of months with no vinyl.. I miss my records but appreciate the world...
Best Brands Out of These-Wharfendale,Bowers and Wilkinsons... All,This is clearly a person who wants expert advice/guidance of more seasoned folks. What you respond with is derision, chides, and unfriendly responses... .. AND you wonder why 2 channel audio is dying.... @jtgofish .. sorry for the unkind respo...
Any recommendations for aftermarket C-7 power cord for Bluesound Node 2i I am not a deep pocketed music lover ... I have Cullen AC cables throughout my system including my node 2 because they are solidly built, sound great, and you won’t have to sell your children to the Gypsy’s to buy them . Great price great service.
Do any of these interest you at all? (If you had the money)(Which I don't) At RMAF 2018 I heard the smaller version of the Kryon audios in that link. They were my favorite of the entire show.. when I win the lottery Kryon Audio kit is on my list!! A truly magical design philosophy
Budget Tube Amp (newbie) +1 on the Rogue Magnus... very fluid sounding... good value.. Made in the USA... I’ve only heard the v 2 but I imagine the sound profile is similar... I’d snap it up and buy some new tubes and you’re set!!
Recommend speakers for a large living room +1 on all those who ask for other electronics, music you typically listen to, and would add the questions:what sonic profile do you lean towards? Value accuracy? Or warmth? Sonic truth? Or musicality.. yeah they are all subjective terms but the f...
R.I.P: Rest In Peace Roy Johnson, Green Mountain Audio's Genius Hey all.... I do not know of any of GMAs business dealings but I am a friend of Roys.. I am truly sorry for those who have lost gear and money. All I know is that there really was no plan as far as I can tell. There is nothing left of GMA. It died...
Spatial Audio X3 Open Baffle Loudspeakers I own The M3 hologram turbo S and have talked w Clayton by phone and at shows. My guess is that these new models will give you “truth” in reproduction. I also know that the model I own will absolutely blow the doors off of some Zeppelin. They wil...

Open Baffle vs Box If your room is smalliish... you won’t need subs unless you are listening to a lot of EDM( which at times I do and I add stereo subs)... additionally the bass you do have is very fast .. no overhang, no bloated farts, no boom.. just clean fast rig...
Open Baffle vs Box I own several dipole speakers one pair being the Spatial Audio M3 Turbo S.. I think “punch without the rumble” is a decent way to describe some of what good open baffles do. They remind me of my Maggie’s in some ways but with significantly more pu...

Standmount speakers. I have $5000. I know it’s not in the $5k league... BUT... I just got some Gallo Strada 2s... holy moly.. assuming you have some subs, these things are magicians... maybe not so much for large orchestral works but w EDM , rock, jazz,, anything else.. they simply...
Best speakers for max. $3000? I can't believe no one has asked:1.) what types of music do you generally listen to? 2.) How large is your room? and in what orientation will you have your speakers.3.) Do you have 2 to 3 feet to play with in terms of getting speakers away from th... |
