Suggestions for a budget amp The C352 is not a very large improvement over the C320BEE.A very little bit more power. All NAD since teh begining of time (asside from the silver series and a couple of odd silver products) has been mate black.THere is an Arcam Delta 90.2 up for s...
Did I really need a sub woffer in the first place? Either will work but there are more often than not less than four places in a room that you (or more importantly, your wife) can live with the sub. A ten meter cable will give you the freedom of movement to put it anywhere in the room.Good luck!
Did I really need a sub woffer in the first place? Ask dealer for a 10 meter long interconnect.Place sub in all different locations.Make sure that the crossover on the sub is in the right ballpark before you begin. In each location get volume level about right, then play with crossover, then play w...
Question For Von Schweikert VR4 Jr Owners Booming bass is likely to be a problem with that speaker so close to the wall. Tvad is right about the sub/sat recomendation.Good luck!
Suggestions for a budget amp For the SB3's in a college setting you will want as much power as you can get. It only takes one evening of maxing out the amp to fry the crossover and woofer in that particular speaker. They are very inefficient speakers and will need lots of pow...
What will it take to have live music for everyone? I have several friends that are very tallented musicians. They all either listen to terribly cheap Wal-Mart stereos or stuff I have handed down to them.I have other friends that listen almost exclusively to MP3's.Are these people any less "into" t...
What will it take to have live music for everyone? Yes, education on this stuf is what keeps most people out of it.Most people never get the chance to hear true hi-fi or even mid-fi. Once they have been placed in front of a true high end system they have a new point of reference. If you have ever t...
Good Interconnects for NAD? 2nd, 3rd, 4th the above. There are any number of good mid-fi CDp's out there.I like the NAD but the Cambridge Audio is very good too.The Cambridge players just got upgraded to V2 which puts the DAC from the flagship into the step down and gives the...
Spaker Question I have a C2 that will be up for sale soon. It is virtually identical to the C1. It has a smaller power supply and does not have the small LCD screen on the faceplate. Otherwise I think that they are the same.If you are interested please shoot me a...
Best processor that is excellent for 2 Ch music I like the Audio Refinement Pre-2DSP.Minnimalistic processor.Remote is terrible, but htat can be replaced easy enough.
CD Wallets I like the Case Logic sleeve linings. The Atlantic cases suck.I'm ordering this:http://www.caselogic.com/60_capacity_media_storage_albums/product_detail/index.cfm?modelid=56431Looks cool. A little nicer than having those wallets strewn about.Hope ...
Best Integrated Amp, Price no obstacle? The NAD S300 (and the entire Silver series) has been discontinued. They now have the Masters series. There is an integrated amp in the line that looks like it might be ok. it has some semi-useless features like dual zone but also has some useful o...
High definition FM broadcast's ? Let's keep it to audio related comments please. Some of us liberals are a little more than fed up with the current state of affairs. If you don't like Public Radio don't worry, it won't be arround in it's current form for very long. The current admi... |
