Power cord feeding a power conditioner/regenerator
I read almost all threads in the internet about the influence of the power cord before a power conditioner or power regenerator.Comparing other's experience with mine (with the Goldenote Dumbo AC, a filter for only a digital source -or preamplifie...
Best Integrated, period.
Hi to everyone, I write form Italy.I am a proud owner of the Luxman 509u class AB integrated amplifier.I think it's one of the best int.amps in the world, very neutral and balanced sound, it's able to drive any speaker (Luxman demoed the 509u with...
Power cord with warm treble + very solid bass ?
I had Oyaide Tunami GPX, a powerful-sounding power cord, with strong mid-bass, i can recommend it to anyone who needs warmth. Now I have the more neutral GPX-R Beryllium, and I use Cardas Golden Reference interconnects and speaker cables.
Audioquest Oak speaker and Sky interconnects
After the integrated amp's break-in (1 month) system sound has dramatically changed, now I hear more musicality and smoothness, I re-evalued my Sky and now I have no more intention of downgrading from the silver Sky to the copper Colorado intercon...
Audioquest Oak speaker and Sky interconnects
Many thanks, I guess I will buy the Colorado (this time XLR) and the Oak.I will let you know your impressions when I have them.
AQ Speaker Cables: Gibraltar vs. Mont Blanc?
I own the Gibraltar DBS 72v, single biwire cable (2 spades on the amp end, 4 spades on the speaker end).Sweet sound, smooth and refined, I'm thinking of an upgrade with the Oak, the best copper cable in Aq's catalog.Never audiotioned a Mont Blanc,...
Audioquest Oak speaker and Sky interconnects
After some tests I decided to sell the Sky, I have tried other copper interconnects (the Sky is silver) that I had on loan and they have given to a system tonal balance and timbre are very close to what I want. The silver (in my system) makes the ...
Integrated SS amps - Luxman vs. Simaudio Moon?
It's hard to believe but I don't have my 509u (ordered almost 6 months ago -in Italy-) yet.It was expected to be delivered today but my dealer did not receive anything (damn courier!)... maybe tuesday 27 April.I will let you know.
Luxman L 505 U Integrated Amplifier
Waiting for my 509u, I tried the 20wpc pure class A 550AII with my B&W 803D.It was clearly not enough for my speakers (good only at late night volumes) but I heard it with smaller and more efficient speakers (Living Voice) in my dealer's showr...
What cables for luxman
Luxman produces power cords (jpa15000) with lean shielding and large cross section/non twisted conductors, more similar to the Oyaide Tunami GPX-R power cords (I own) than to the ones from Shunyata. In its official japanese website Luxman says that...
The Ultimate SACD Machine
I have a Luxman D06, great machine, detailed but sweet, natural sound (not clinical, not hyper-analitic but not warm at all...neutral and uncoloured with no harshness or edges in the high frequencies), it allows to chose DSD or PCM for the SACDs (...
Anyone have any experience with the Tunami GPX-R ?
I own two GPX-R (white plugs; for power distributor and integrated amp) and I am waiting for a third one for my digital source (instead of the GPX, red plugs).GPX is a very dynamic cable with a strong mid-bass but it hides some microdetails in the...
Luxman D06 digital input limited 16bit/44Khz ???
Luxman's answer was not very clear to me, they told me that D06 shows informations about WAV files (not FLAC? It was not specified) and there must have been a problem in the PC configuration, but it would be only a problem about the display, not t...
Luxman D06 digital input limited 16bit/44Khz ???
User's manual say that with some output devices display may show a value which is different from the actual sampling frequency... A display issue !Player sounds sweet and natural, but it must break in before I can say something more! Furthermore n...
CD players - Luxman vs. Esoteric?
Do you know if D06 does accept high resolution files (96Khz/24bit)?Specifications claim that coaxial input accepts files up to 96Khz (not a word about the bitrate), but my dealer who received yesterday my ( ? ) D06 tells that on the display appear...
