What are you streaming tonight?
The Rolling Stones - Honk, Qobuz had the nerve to call this "hi-res".  Definitely audiophool quality!  But hey, I love the Stones.
How many people here generally buy used?
I did buy my Harbeth Super HL5 Plus new, but I got a nice trade in (more than I paid for them) for my old speakers.  I have a couple of things I've bought refurbished, or open box.

The "other" Canadian power trio.  Things in the late 70s / early 80's are a little hazy but if I recall correctly I saw them at a "rising star" show for about 2 bucks when they were just catching on in the U.S.

I rarely buy anything new. Phono cartridges. Can’t think of much else.  Oh, no used fuses.
Whats on your turntable tonight?
The Knife - Shaken-Up Versions
Waht is the best streamer for the money under $2500 (no DAC or storage required).
I considered getting a streamer only and was leaning towards the Lumin U1 Mini.  The DAC in the TEAC is really good, and it's another option (which he asked for) that's in his price range.
Most valuable LP
I think it's my original pressing of G'N'R Appetite for Destruction with the original banned cover art.

@jetter Go poke around the Bluesound support forum for a few minutes if you think the TEAC has problems. I've had way more issues with my Bluesound devices than the TEAC.

Experience with the Pass Labs XP-15 phono stage?
Good to hear!

@jetter You're quite the Debbie Downer aren't you?  Do you have any personal experience with the TEAC yourself or are you just putting it down based on what you've read on the internet? My advice is that if it sounds like something that would meet ...
Does anyone collect something else other than music.
Cameras.  Not really on purpose, but I have too many of them.  I have also collected tens of thousands of images that I've taken with them.  I have enough watches to wear a different one every day of the month, but they are mostly Seikos, Citizens...
Experience with the Pass Labs XP-15 phono stage?
Expect a really quiet background and lots of dynamics and detail. It’s a really nice unit. I can’t say how it compares to the McIntosh, but in general a purpose built stand alone phono stage, especially of this quality is going to exceed one inclu...
Considering a new Phono Pre-Amp
If you can find a pre-owned Pass Labs XP-15, that's an excellent phono stage.  I like it better than my Chinook in some ways.  Super quiet with LOMC and has a bit of a "tubey" sound, even though it's solid state.
