Useful Information
Tim, you have hit the bullseye dead center (so to speak ;-). I admit I was surprised (and shocked) by how many fell for his obvious con (I think he was too). Had they not heard of his "university", "airline", "steaks", "wine", and other numerous s...
Corona playlist- time to smile
Good one @mitchagain, "Keep Your Distance" is a great song. Have you heard the version by Buddy & Julie Miller? Killer! (no insensitive pun intended ;-) .
Suggestions regarding preamplifier choice
From the Angstrom 200 to the Freya? Both designed by Mike Moffat!

Loudon Wainwright III: "Last Man On Earth", the song and the album of the same title it is included on.
Turntable Mats: Rubber, Felt or Cork.
Oops @uberwaltz, I somehow missed that line in your post!
A reappearance of Black Diamond Racing?
I just snagged another set of Pits on Audiomart. The seller still has 6 Pucks and 3 Thick Pucks listed at good prices.
Vivaldi, played badly, is the worst classical music on earth
And on LP! Thanks Russ, another good Vivaldi recording by Podger is "L'Estro Armonico".
what's your opinion on the magazine 'stereo review'??
J. Gordon Holt was inspired to start Stereophile in the early 1960's ('62?) when, while employed at High Fidelity magazine as Technical Editor, he had a negative review of a product by an advertiser vetoed by the rag's publisher. Can't go bitin' t...

Stuck at home? Make a kit!!
On the other hand.....We know the price of many hi-fi products is a direct result of the cost of the parts used to make them. They are built to a price point, compromises made to reach a target retail price. Rythmik designer/owner Brian Ding freel...
MUST Have Vinyl
@roberjerman beat me to it in suggesting a Sheffield direct-to-disk LP. Not for the sake of the music on any of them (that's too personal for me to predict), but to hear what is possible in the LP format. Direct-to-disk LP's (Sheffield or otherwis...
What’s the best préamp. for the Wavac 805 monoblocks
Art Dudley reported a couple years back in his Stereophile Listening column on the time he spent with the EAR 912 in his system. He loved it. It’s not cheap, but as the owner of a pair of Wavac 805’s, that should not be a problem for you. ;-)
Stuck at home? Make a kit!!
To add to the posts of mc and Duke, make a GR Research sub or four. Rythmik sells the F12G as a factory finished model, and GRR sells it as a DIY kit. The kit includes the Rythmik A370 plate amp and a 12" woofer, which are used together in a servo...
What’s the best préamp. for the Wavac 805 monoblocks
@lukaske, since you own (and presumably like) an EAR Acute CD player, why not consider an EAR pre-amp? Two models: the 868 and 912. Both share the same designer as the Acute, the brilliant Tim de Paravicini.
