Bi amping a pair of B&K ST-140's
850 is high. I've seen them as low as ~450 in rough cosmetic shape to ~700 in good shape.I'm not familiar with the ex442.

I have the older ones, plus I have one of the newer ones that I use for a center SPL. The old ones are one of the best values around. The difference is mostly packaging afaik. I also had mine nodded at musical concepts.

IMO, a biamped pair of ST140's isn't close to a pair of M200's (I have both). If you don't have the patience to wait for a pair of M200's, I might look for a Parasound HCA2200 (I've also had one of those).
My new TV doesn't have an RCA video in.....
I've used a composite to s-video adapter and it worked fine. I have no experience with this one (ie to HDMI) but would imagine it works.http://www.amazon.com/Portta-WPETCHP-Composite-Converter-Scaler/dp/B008S7EYW2/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=141822...

just get out your skill saw and cut it into 4 or 6 pieces, then you can move each out individually ;-)
Need some recommendations - hard driving big band
Toshiko Akiyoshi/Lew Tabakin Big Band is worth checking out. "Road Time" is awesome/live record.
Porqupine Tree
well, I can agree that PT is a little similar to early King Crimson, like "Court . . ."
Porqupine Tree
agree . . . Blackfield is also very good
Porqupine Tree
I was just getting ready to tell Roxy54 that PT's music is similar to King Crimson.I'm the not sure I see the similarity (any similarity) between P'Tree and King Crimson and I have most all both have offered; however, the fact that I like both of ...

I love their stuff. I only have one of their LP's but have most everything they have done on CD, and a DVD live show. There's not a weak offering among them.
Is it worth refurbishing my tube Marantz?
a quick ebay search on those 2 pieces shows they are selling for $2000 - $3500 for the 8b, and as much as $5000 for the 7c in great condition. I didn't see what they sell for in "needs work" condition, but would expect them to also bring 4 digit s...
Phase Linear 700 & 400 series II
I've had 3 of them (PL400's), but no longer do. How many of you have actually owned one that "blew up"?
What should I sell these for used here? Buyers?
you need to buy an ad.
What a Songstress Julie London
I'm in too. I have 3 or 4 of her albums and they are great end to end. One of my favorite songs - "You'd Be So Nice To Come Home To"
Not asking the best....
Boz Scaggs' "Loan Me a Dime" - the extended solo/jam that has amazing lead guitar, but equally amazing and subtle rhythm backing. I also agree with Al's citing of Light My Fire, and would add other Doors songs (eg Riders on the Storm).
