Big speakers, are they really the best way to get great sound?
OP, The Montana XPS do need a long burn in period, minimum 400 hours, and they need to be playing at least at 70 db to do them justice. 75 db is my sweet spot. And of course it is totally system dependent. I do appreciate your gentle approach to ...
Audiophilia: Is it the pursuit of audio excellence or just a desire to tinker.
It's obviously a personal thing. At first I liked the tinkering part out of necessity to get the sound I strived for and that can last for years. Now that I have the sound my ears wanted, I no longer tinker, at all, I just sit and listen with sati...
Big speakers, are they really the best way to get great sound?
My PBN Montana XPS speakers are designed for rooms larger than 2,700 cubic ft. My house of stereo is only slightly bigger than that. With the proper acoustic treatment, they sound magnificent and 100% worth the investment. They replaced the also e...
Is there miracles in audio experience ?
My music miracle: Being convinced, after a few years of complete denial, to give streaming a shot by some very smart members right here on audiogon. It's a miracle! Both the fact that I was convinced and the streaming experience. I am forever t...
Are cable “upgrades” just as likely to make your system sound worse?
The worst part is cables do need ample burn-in time. Patience is key and buy only good reputable cables so resale will be easy because there is usually no way to properly test a cable within the return period policy.
Why Streaming Service Sounds ‘Flat’ vs Tune In /Local FM /Radio Paradise
That's how my Innuos is connected, hard wired to a wifi extender. OP should definitely consider innuos since the sense app is at least as good as bluos which is a major factor to him. Many other brands listed here are sadly lacking in app performa...
W4S DAC
I have a top of the line wyred4sound preamp, but a Gustard X26 PRO dac. China does lead the pack in "affordable" quality dacs imo.
Why Streaming Service Sounds ‘Flat’ vs Tune In /Local FM /Radio Paradise
Caution: I also have the Innuos zenith mk3 streamer and concurr the sense app is terrific. However, my Innuos does not support wifi, it is strictly ethernet connection, so no good for the OP's situation.

@knock1  I have done it with good results. By example, on my 2nd TT with the sumiko starling cart, I used washer on both bolts since the Sumiko requires VTA tail down and the TT arm would not go down far enough to accomodate it. Once you get comf...
Innuos Sense cannot connect to Qobuz
FYI, there was a very recent upgrade to fix the bugs of the latest upgrade.
Innuos Sense cannot connect to Qobuz
Innuos ZENith mk3 with Qobuz here. No roon. Sense only. No connection issues for multiple hours of listening yesterday.

Looking at the last pic, a thin spacer between the arm and cartridge on left mounting bolt should level the cantilever.

Short answer, two words: Loki Max
Benchmark or McIntosh....
95 db? I wish. 75 db is my "save my hearing" average limit.
Speaker Cable Recommendation
Ditto the canare 4S11, but be ready for a looong break-in period.
