What did a good 10 MHz clock do for your Gustard R26?
@magon  It's complicated. I don't have the R26, but I do have the x26 PRO. I first added the C18 master clock to clock both the X26 and LHY-SW10 ethernet switch. It didn't make much of a difference for my Innuos ZENith mk3 streamer connected to t...
How often, and how, do you clean your stylus?
Dropping it slowly up and down a handful of times on a majik eraser every few albums is the best trick I ever used. Once a great while I use a drop of the ultra expensive lyra cleaning tiny bottle at the end of a tiny brush and carefully clean the...
This sound-suppressing silk can create quiet spaces
That may be cheaper than building my house of stereo ;)

Darn this discussion. I just bought the Waxwing to replace my Puffin. This was the last piece of the puzzle I couldn't control via remote. Just had to be done.

It sounds like you could be having a good conversation with Shannon Parks, the owner. Just email him and he will contact you for certain. One of the better audio dealer anywhere. Actually there are only a handful of adjustments I usually make on t...

The Puffin is great mainly for poorly recorded albums and mono records if you don't have a mono cartridge. I use it on my secondary TT. It is a fantastic equalizer. The owner is also outstanding and fixed an issue on a 5 year old unit at zero cost...
Does Every Track Sound Great on Your System?
Ditto, I also said all I have to say because unlike some, I don't like to bad mouth other folks' equipment over mine. Over and out.

@tlcocks  I really appreciate all the info you have provided and am happy you are so pleased with this in your system. Looking at their website, it is undeniable that the advantages of this unit are multiple over others. But, as quoted in their w...
Does Every Track Sound Great on Your System?
@wsrrsw  You made my point real well. No remote on a EQ unit is worthless in my listening room setup. Since the ones who are  pushing the Charter Oak don't post their systems, I imagine they must be sitting at a desk by their EQ unit doing their ...

No remote on the Charter Oak makes it an impossibility for my setup. Hence the Loki Max.

And if you need to improve well recorded albums, you need to improve your listening room and system first.
Does Every Track Sound Great on Your System?
Agreed, in worst case scenarios, I use my Schiit loki max and it does a great job on poorly recorded albums.
Anyone listen to entire albums?
I'm retired, so absolutey. Listening to the entire album, or entire side in case of vinyl is the best way to get the message of the artist on a particular album. At least that applies to all artists worthy of that word. However nowadays many pop a...
Does Every Track Sound Great on Your System?
Every song should sound as good as the quality of the recording allows. Meaning a poorly recorded album will sound as good as it can but it will never equal the sound of a high quality recorded one. To try to achieve similar results from poorly an...
