Harbeth 30.1 or legacy calibre
Nothing really comes close to the Legacy Calibre or Aeris...  I would have the Aeris... if I had a stronger back... but the Calibre is close enough... and much easier to manage.

Legacy Focus SE... definitely!  They sound very close to the Aeris, which is pretty well the best sound available at any price.No contest.

If you’re after utmost accuracy to a live piano... you should consider the ATC’s mentioned above. There is a reason all the pro sound engineers use those speakers in their mastering.That’s not to say, several others won’t sound great... but... if ...

Have to agree on the Class D amp suggestion.  I've got a Class D Audio (brand) SDS-470C and for $700 you get a great amp that sounds virtually as good as any of the others mentioned above.  Truly remarkable amplifiers - giant killer.And... they're...

No doubt Pass Labs would be great... but... I don’t know where you’ll find one in your price range. And... if you do... it’s going to be ready for refurb (cap replacements, etc.). So... the next best alternative, which will not require refurb is t...

The Townshend Supertweeters improve and expand the soundstage and imaging and add a realism to the sound. I use them to complement all my speakers. They add a subtle, but impressive improvement to the sound.

There’s a couple of pair of the Legacy Audio Aeris for sale on Audiogon and on USAudiomart - both like new... and... both at the low end of your price range! Don’t hesitate at these prices - $10,000 to $13,000!!!And... you can easily safely crate ...

Nothing you’ve mentioned comes close to the Legacy Audio Aeris. And... there’s a like new pair on the for sale forum. Quit agonizing over it... and... just be done with it... with the best sound you’ll ever hear for the price... or... maybe, just....
