Digital Front End.. help please dennis, didnt know you were in a 2.5K range, sorry. I would strongly suggest you audition the Meridian 508.24, the EMC1 Mk II and the Gamut CD1, which are all in this price range and are imho leaders in their class (as far as my personal experience...
Digital Front End.. help please Audio Aero Capitole Mk 2. No need for anything else. If you're against upsampling, go for a Zanden 16/44 DAC and a ML37 transport, but honestly, with the Capitole, whats the point ?Cheers
Audio Aero Capitole 24/192 too foward and bright? One thing that has to be said about the volume control of the Audio Aero : as far as i can understand, the aero has an analog output stage (tube) which means it does not control the volume digitally, unlike the accuphase gear. So it would be fair ...
Audio Aero Capitole MK II: Performance & Problems Ive managed to read CDRs fine on my player. Have you tried different brands of CDRs ? I know however that you will have less problems with CDRs that have been burned at 1x or 2x.Cheers
Audio Aero Capitole MK II: Performance & Problems Lall : gone back to France ? Im surprised your dealer couldnt do the software upgrade himself. Audio Aero Capitole MK II: Performance & Problems Performance : magnificient player, best ive ever owned and heard on demo. Anyone have their Audio Aero Capitole MKII yet? Just talked to the manufacturer. Apparently there has been a rather important software update to the reading of the TOC and the transport / DAC interface in general. You can tell which version you have when the player reads the CD : if it says "Re...
Anyone have their Audio Aero Capitole MKII yet? My AA Mk II just died on me :(It started by the tray not knowing when the door was opened or not, meaning i couldnt read the TOC of new CDs, which meant i was basically *%!# ! I then fiddled with the tray and managed to solve this. Don't know why ...
ML 390s vs. ML39 Sylinnian, strange philosophy about audio you have there m8. But to each is own, my priority is sonics, and as far as that goes, the AA Capitole (which i think is the player you are referring to when reading between the lines) is top class. I reall...
AA Capitole Mk II - what the evaluaions brought? I can only echo what has been said here. My unit is at about the 150 hour mark and i can still hear it improve. It has amazing detail and transparency, and yet is very 'easy listening' and lets you glide through the music. It is unlike any digital...
Anyone have their Audio Aero Capitole MKII yet? Problem is, at 70-75% volume on the AA, the volume coming out of my 240W integrated is VERY low. With a standard CD player, my listening volume is around the 25 mark (out of 100). With the AA, i need to be at 50.
Anyone have their Audio Aero Capitole MKII yet? And i forgot to add that the Capitole's balanced XLR outputs is wired using EUROPEAN standards, so if you use it direct with an amp which is using US standards you may get the noise i was previously complaining about.Cheers
Anyone have their Audio Aero Capitole MKII yet? For those who want to use the Audio Aero with an integrated or a pre, the manufacturor recommends using 3/4 of the volume level (approx. 2v output) and using the preaamp to adjust the gain.Cheers
