Should I bi-amp or bridge my amps to feed my speakers
If they are mono amps then you have to run one amp per speakers. if they are stereo amps are you sure they are capable of bridging?  i will assume they are stereo amps, i wold try one amp for the left and right woofers and one for the mids and ...
Power cords or power conditioner
in the words of Nelson Pass the power cables supplied with Pass amplifiers are sufficient to deliver more current than the amplifier is capable of.  Typical of most reputable amplifiers.   Bark up another tree to improve the sound in the ways you...
What should I expect moving from MM to MC?
warmer and fuller are not necessarily what lomc carts bring to the table.  you will get a cleaner, more refined sound which is abig step up in quality from most mm cartridges. also because of the lower moving mass an mc is typically more dynamic a...
Direct Drive
at least do a search before asking such a broad question, many forum threads are devoted to the recent Technics 1200 series.   in short they are audiophile no brainers.
Does a turntable make a DRAMATIC difference?
Yes.  Without starting a direct drive vs belt drive debate, just the facts as I have witnessed in my system and during demos.   Started return to serious vinyl about 8 years ago, bought a very good high mass belt drive table and low output mc car...
High output MC cartridges for phono with 40dB gain

Atma-Sphere Class D… Amazing
100 watts @ 8ohms per block, utilitarian plain enclosure. Does not seem that impressive.
Looking for Speaker Recommendations
Spendor D9. Perfect synergy with your amplifier.  Dynamic, clear, refined and excellent deep bass.
Phono Preamplifier Redux .. Damn This is Getting Expensive
I suggest that what you are hearing is not the fault of the Sutherland which is a very capable phono preamp. There is nothing shrill about its sound. It does take ~ 200 hours for all of the capacitors and electronics to be burned in. I suggest y...
Amps for B&W 805 Diamond: Rogue Audio or Krell, Pass labs, ML, Accuphase
@truongv0ky  Buy as new as possible- 10 years old max.  The hybrid amps (252, 352) sound excellent and do work well with the 805d.  I would avoid their entry level amplifier.
A comparable phono preamp
Your Adikt cartridge has a 6.5mv output which is 30 to 60% higher than typical MM cartridges.   You need a phono preamp that has low enough gain to avoid conditions which sound as you are describing with your NAD.   The typical gain for your cart...
Amps for B&W 805 Diamond: Rogue Audio or Krell, Pass labs, ML, Accuphase
McIntosh pairs excellently with the B&W diamonds.  The newer Macs are not reserved or rolled off but smooth enough to give your speakers the ultimate in resolution with none of the excessive artificial brightness.  Heard this pairing many time...
New amp listening fatigue: Distortion or ??????
Your speakers have ceramic midrange drivers and RAAL ribbon tweeters- extremely revealing and downright brutal with a neutral revealing amplifier.  I have only heard two speakers that use ceramic drivers sound good to my ears- Marten and Von Schwe...
Upgrading my Rouge Cronus 11 to what?
Try tube rolling the small signal tubes. I had a CMII and with the right tubes it was hard to beat at any price as long as your speakers are somewhat efficient. 12AU7 single tube- Amperex Bugle Boy Holland Low Noise. 12AX7 Amperex 1950s long pla...
A rookie with 10K, seeking advise
A Rogue Audio Cronus Magnum III and a pair of Harbeth 30.2 XD and you will be blown away with magical, 3 D atmospheric ultra refined sound.   Use the proceeds of your other gear to upgrade phono preamp- the best Sutherland you can afford.
