A stupid question(s) about power cords 👍
A stupid question(s) about power cords @immatthewj it’s all about trying the power cord upgrade for yourself. Some power cords result in very minor changes, some produce a difference big enough to go wow. One such example for me was the Nordost Brahma power cable that I tried on Rogue ...
A stupid question(s) about power cords I missed nothing. You can call it whatever. The list is 100% accurate. Post pictures of your system. I’ll prove it to you.
A stupid question(s) about power cords There are reasons why some don’t hear difference between cables. most common… 1. Low quality components 2. Bad room acoustics even with decent components this will be detrimental 3. Bad setup - speakers are not properly placed, speakers bloc...
Power cords: does length matter? +1 buy the length you need. To tell the difference between a 1m and a 2m power cord you will need an extremely resolving system and I am not sure that every power cord in these two lengths will sound any different. Keep it simple.
Power cords: does length matter? jasonbourne71 831 posts 05-10-2024 at 04:06pm Two pieces of steel (carbon iron alloy) coat hanger wire fitted with AC plugs will sound indistinguishable from any boutique power cord. I compared coat hanger wire to a boutique power co...

A stupid question(s) about power cords Nice furutech knock offs with the carbon fiber shell. I would get copper. Worth trying for $50. You can always return it. I wouldn’t draw any general conclusions based on this power cord experience though.
Speaker cable options, Audioquest, Black Cat and Canare Canare 4s11 can be built as biwire which is what you’d want for the N803. They’re decent sounding cable. Not the last word in resolution but good enough to get by. Not familiar with black cat or AQ Gibraltar.
Puritan 136 vs 156 for simple system Lol injecting some humor always helps. Now we’re on the same page as far as power conditioner and network tweaks go in that system.
Puritan 136 vs 156 for simple system @pinwa there are DACs under $3500 that would provide an upgrade over R26. Chord Hugo TT2, Bricasti M3, PS Audio DirectStream, possibly the new and highly praised LAiV Harmony…just to name a few. With all due respect…upgrading network components ...
Back to the DAC Set it up and enjoy. Don’t worry about roon.
Back to the DAC I played around with it. It’s fun for a while and I love it but then it gets old. I still have around 2,000 CDs and a good collection of vinyl. I definitely don’t see myself going back to analog. I had a decent sounding setup though but it was a ...
Back to the DAC CD transport, unless it’s the caliber of Audio Note or Jays Audio, is most likely a waste of money, time and space when you have N200 as a streamer with Bricasti M1S2 dac. You can rip CDs onto SSD and mount it inside the N200. And I would only do ... |
