PS Audio BHK signature preamp Perfect you’re set!
PS Audio BHK signature preamp @signaforce glad to hear you’re enjoying the nee preamp! Not sure what tubes are used as stock but may be better to direct the funds towards amplifier and DAC upgrades and tackle the tube rolling after? I wouldn’t waste money on fuses. At least no...
DAC for Aurender N200 @jonwolfpell that’s my PS Audio DSD MkI vs. Bricasti M3 results as well. No comparison. Especially in noise floor that’s pretty much the foundation for all other improvements over PS A.
Subwoofers - Final Thoughts with Martin Logan ESL 13A I had an awesome conversation with Doug over the phone. Great guy. Told me few funny stories. I think he’s more of a phone conversation type dude and email might not be his favorite form of communication .
Do I Really Need a Dedicated Streamer? @invalid they don’t. But you can still program it if you really try.
Lumin U2 or Aurender N200 Audience FrontRow USB is in. I got a feeling it’s pretty new and needs some time. I’ll keep cooking it and evaluate in couple of days. I will not be putting my AQ Diamond back until I am done with the FtontRow.
Do I Really Need a Dedicated Streamer? Congratulations @jssmith ! You have achieved musical nirvana…enjoy it to the fullest!
Subwoofers - Final Thoughts with Martin Logan ESL 13A @navyachts cool. May be worth giving Audirvana a try as well for comparison.
Subwoofers - Final Thoughts with Martin Logan ESL 13A Well you already sold your N200 so any conversation on the Bricasti network renderer vs. N200 is moot. But in any case…. The discussion you referenced is old and doesn’t apply to M1S2, M3 and M21. The newer generation of the Bricasti DACs have hig...
DAC for Aurender N200 @hickamore a word of caution/warning with ARC DACs - only the latest iterations include the USB card that is compatible with Linux based streamers. You would have to check with ARC if the unit includes the latest USB card or was upgraded. Otherwis...
Subwoofers - Final Thoughts with Martin Logan ESL 13A @navyachts yes I remember since I got the Wilsons right after I sold the MLs. It’s a completely different sound. The MLs were slightly warmer and darker sounding than the Wilsons. The Sabrinas are more open, more detailed and more realistic especi...
Subwoofers - Final Thoughts with Martin Logan ESL 13A @navyachts cool. Can you try the Bricasti direct into the amp using the M1S2 preamp section? See if any difference in bass between it and the coda pre?
Subwoofers - Final Thoughts with Martin Logan ESL 13A @navyachts a thought just popped in my head… When I had the Montis I ran them first with Rogue ST100 amplifier driven by RP1 and later by RP5 and then finally by Pass XP-12. Every one of these preamps had different capabilities in the lower regis...
How do you decide what to listen to? Same old stuff? One of the awesome features of Roon is the radio station you can create using one of your favorite songs. I’ve discovered a ton of good new music thru it. Take advantage of it if you’re a Roon user. Most of the streamers have that feature as well...
DAC for Aurender N200 @soix actually AES/EBU is best with N20. N200 only has coax and USB and the latter definitely sounds better. I ran the N200 with PS Audio DSD MkI, Chord Hugo TT2 and Bricasti M3. Love the Bricasti DAC. You can pair the N200 with a lot of good DACs... |
