What is the most important cable in your system
Cable on the amp usually will be the most important. But then there’s a beotch called synergy. So best is to try and determine by ear.
Power cable break in?
@fthompson251 I’d give it 24hrs. That in my experience is all a used cable needs to settle. If after 24hrs of play time you hear bloated bass, it’s what it sounds like.

For those who don’t believe in outlets making a difference and don’t believe in break in, try the Furutech GTX-D (R) NCF outlet!

@agisthos agreed. Don’t use hospital grade plugs or outlets. Unless your system or you are on life support. @secretguy wasting money is a relative term. In example, if you own a low-fi or lower tier mid-fi system, you have paid very little or no ...

@secretguy goofy topic…. The unfortunate truth is - everything matters. Especially when it comes to what’s powering your components. If you have invested considerable amounts of time, money and effort carefully building your system and room acous...
Advice on Integrated Receiver
@bound4h looking at it from another angle, you get a very nice phono stage with the Luxman amp that will be good enough until you are ready to upgrade. Something that isn’t included with the H390. If you can swing it, get the luxman although like ...
Streamer-DAC vs Seperates
I really like my Bricasti M3 with integrated network player. I use Roon and did an A/B comparison between streaming with lumin u1 mini into the M3 via Audience USB cable and Roon with the M3 alone and preferred the M3. Sold the Lumin.  What does t...

High quality outlet is possibly the biggest ROI in this hobby.
Dedicated Line - Things to consider
Will post updates. Planning do it in January/February.

H390 should be good. Gives you streaming capabilities as well. Add a good phono stage and you’ll be all set.
McIntosh MC1.25KW vs Luxman M-10X
Makes sense.
Advice on Integrated Receiver
Preamp is a critical part of the system. It must be transparent and on the level of your amp. Unless it’s a makeshift solution until you get a good preamp, I wouldn’t use the Cambridge in that capacity if you want to go the separates route.   But...
McIntosh MC1.25KW vs Luxman M-10X
Never heard it. Going to make an assumption here but it’ll most likely be out of place in a system you’re putting together. Like I mentioned above, you might want to consider same brand amp and preamp. Get the best possible synergy. Or carefully m...

@immatthewj please let us know what you’ve heard as a result of the test when you get around to it
Dedicated Line - Things to consider
That’s exactly what I’m hoping for - lower noise floor. And that is a huge improvement if that’s what the outcome will be.
