Directionality of Loudspeaker Cables
It is an AC signal. The only potential directional effects are from transmission line effects, which are high frequency / long length effects.... unless they purposely construct them to modify the signal.
Another Analog v. Digital Thread? Not Really
Same master recording, does not mean the same thing was cut to vinyl and CD. They have barely produced CD's since the 90's, only SACD and Vinyl. For over twenty years, Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab has continually searched for the ultimate audio exper...
Another Analog v. Digital Thread? Not Really
Ignorance of a technology throws away 100% of the right answers.Digital, sampling at fixed intervals, throws away 90% of the timing information. It always sounds completely unlike anything in nature!.

Does it come with a deed to swamp land in Florida? One small item that I tried, which was very noticeable and was not that expensive was the High Fidelity Cables MC-0.5 power conditioner. I am using 3 now and it is amazing the noise that has dro...

Easy solution. Don’t buy a meter.Do you know what goes into one? ... the BOM cost at the quantify manufactured? How about the amortized engineering costs? tooling costs? Sales and marketing overhead?Do you work for free?

You are conflating processing with capture. The study showed that processing occurs differently from what was expected. That does not change the fact there are a given number of rods and cones.Similar for audio, no matter how neurons may process, ...
Another Analog v. Digital Thread? Not Really
But they were converted back to analog ... DAC in the cutting machine. This is the dirty little secret it appears no one wants to address in threads like this. Why do LPs sound better when the recording was mastered digitally and never converted b...
Time to buy a class D amp?
This can also be said about linear amps, but they sound crap when done. The goal is to have the best engineered design with the lowest distortions without negative feedback, and then if it can be done just a little local feedback around the inp...
Best N.A. Audio Manufacturers to Work For?
What is your area of expertise? Not that many audio companies are overly high-tech. I would think long and hard about what you are passionate about. People put down Bose, but their R&D budget is likely many time other companies discussed here. ...
Time to buy a class D amp?
atmasphere,Would you say there is inherent limitation in the phase shift that is a factor of the comparator speed, digital logic delays, and turn-off time of the FET? What do you think a practical limit is on that? That may put a practical limit o...
