| Cartridge forgiving of "non-audiophile" recordings and pressings I have to disagree with @gregm's suggestion of the Ortofon 2M Black. With its Shibata stylus profile it is ruthless in terms of showing off any and all warts on vinyl that is in less than pristine condition. It is a good cart though. | |
| Is this the solution to LP static issues?? Seems to be! I am pretty new to all things turntable related but I think I've got all my static issues sorted with a can of GruvGlide. Maybe some expert will chime in on the long term effects of using said product, but it seems to work really well. | |
| Turn Table Decision I've only had a couple of turntables and am still kind of new to it, but the Pioneer PLX-1000 at $699 could fit the bill. Still leaves you with a few hundred for a cart. Hopefully others whom are much more knowledgeable in this area will chime in. | |
