Graham Phantom vs. Phantom II
>>10-21-09: SyntaxThe Phantom Arm is probably the best Arm made today<<There is, of course, no best of any component and tonearms are no exception.I have my favorites as well but hyperbole such as this should simply be ignored.
Any U2 Fans Here?
I have the latest U2 on vinyl as well and it is very good. Excellent sonics and the vinyl is extremely quiet. However, it's a PITA changing sides after 2 songs.

Does anyone like country
Buffalo Springfield and Poco were my first tastes of country.Since then I've enjoyed many of the artists mentioned here.Patsy Cline and Hank Williams both produced an incredible amount of great work in their short careers. She died at 31, he at 30.

Elvis Presley Fans?
I don't think I missed any point. I grew up during that time and saw the whole thing. Many of his original RCA records are in my collection. Elvis is overrated.Fair singer, lousy musician, lousy actor, but very charismatic.I am mystified by the on...

Every system should be built around speakers, not an amplifier or source(s). Starting with an amp is like buying a set of tires then finding a car to fit them.

>>10-11-09: MooglieFor example, silver sounds very different than copper. Not at all. It depends on the design.A csble's "sound" depends far more on its' geometry, dielectric, and conductor purity than the conductor itself.I can conduct a lis...
Anti skate and tonearm damping query
>>10-12-09: Stringreen10-12-09: StringreenDougdeacon...you're correct, but anti-skate decreases with velocity<<Wrong again stringbean.Mark Kelly has it right.As does Nsgarch.
Stealth Dream SC
Cables are system and listener dependent, on that we agree. But if any wire makes the same impact (or greater) than a component, something is wrong. I stand by that.As you surmised, perhaps your system is flawed.
Stealth Dream SC
>>10-09-09: MattheusI can underscore the statement that a good cable - like the Dream- equals a component upgrade<<I don't believe any cable can affect a system with the same impact as a properly selected upgraded component. If it does,...
