Anyone know of a good pressing of Stickey Fingers? Mine is the original as I suspected. These words/letters/numbers are engraved on the lead out grooves.Side 1:Rolling Stones Records, BBB-11-111Side 2:Rolling Stones Records, ST-RS, 712190, AAA 1-11FWIW
Anyone know of a good pressing of Stickey Fingers? Hi Grant, That's a good question. I bought my copy the week it was released here in the states so I'm assuming first release status. If defining codes exist on the vinyl and/or jacket I'd be interested in knowing about them. Not only for this albu...
What music do you want to play really loud? Tragically Hip "Looking for a Place to Happen"
Anyone know of a good pressing of Stickey Fingers? The MOFI is a genuine POS recording. I own a first release 1971 zippered gatefold copy and it is at best marginal sounding. Never heard the cassette or 8 track so this may be as good as it gets.
Is Digital actually better than Analog? I own both high end analog and digital front ends as I find strength in both formats.I'm not a technical person by education. That being said, I don't give a rat's a** about sin(x)/x filters, molecules, valences, ions, bandwidths, upsampling, down...
HELP: No sounds out of my tweeter. Was the system powered down when you changed interconnects?
Newbie needs to make a decision, Rogue? Manley? I also like the Rogue Magnum 150. Find a nice used pair and you've spent your money wisely.Skip the Hurricane idea. You have a better chance of success in Vegas or Atlantic City.
Audio Research 100.2 amp The current blue book price is 50% of the original retail. This is relatively high for an 8 year old model and reflects the high quality of this amplifier. It's a superb value IMO
Absolutely worst LP that you own & enjoy? Acresverde, you have a good memory. 1964 on the Garrett label. Can't recall ever seeing another recording on Garrett. I use Indra as well but it's still "Surfin' Bird".:-)
Absolutely worst LP that you own & enjoy? "Surfin' Bird" by the Trashmen. So bad it's actually fun to hear. Kind of like Hillary Clinton.
Amphion Xenon vs Usher 6381 Sir, from your prior posts it appears you have a great deal of experience in the business. In most circumstances, I would believe what is posted and have no doubts. However, given all of the self promotion and bravado contained within your posts, ...
What Cartridge & Armwand on your Schroder I don't doubt you Dgad. However, my experience shows that the UNIverse, Airy 2, and Airy 3 perform better in tonearms with medium (10-18 gram) effective mass such as Tri-Planar, Vector 3, SME, etc. I'm sure the Ikeda does a fine job but it is not ...
Mundorf Silver/Gold in Oil Supreme Caps Any Good? Just a thought but you might want to wait another couple hundred hours before passing final judgment. They take a very long time to stabilize.Good luck.
What Cartridge & Armwand on your Schroder The Zyx weighs 5 grams, 9 grams with the silver base. In a tonearm with 35 gram effective mass, on paper this is a horrible mismatch putting the system's resonance under 8hZ. I've owned 3 Zyx cartridges and doubt that any of them would perform opt...
Amphion Xenon vs Usher 6381 Incredible that the Usher sales rep once again favors his own product in a totally unbias comparison. Unless he has heard both speakers in the same room with the same electronics, I submit the recommendation is not only biased but flawed and usele... |
