Class D and High Efficiency Speakers?
Let's not confuse snobbery with years of experience.Of which I suggest you seem to lack.Good luck with your Onkyo or Pioneer or Kenwood or whatever.
Leave solid state amps on? Or turn off everytime?

10k system for ultimate image density at 70-75db?
For the listening level you posted, I would build a system around a pair of Quads. When you're building a system from the ground up, always start with the speakers.
Class D and High Efficiency Speakers?
Low powered tubed amplifiers are a better match for horns than class d amplifiers.Onkyo, Pioneer, Sansui, and Kenwood notwithstanding. That's my formed opinion based on experience.
Class D and High Efficiency Speakers?

Best sounding Krell ?
LetÂ’s stick to the issue and not go with the John Lennon, Imagine, and personal stuff. None of that is relevant at all but when you have nothing substantive to contribute I guess the diversion is worth a shot. What we have here is another Krell own...
