@stringreen ...yes, there's 'competent'....and then there's 'art' and 'inspiration', beyond mere talent....Rendition....and Revealing.Even 'so-so' equipment can render such to 'conditioned' ears...;)One just has to be able to comprehend such.........

Turn off the monitor and Listen.Two centuries have transpired.Nuance still exists.One just has to have an open mind....the hardest thing to own.

(Cheap shot...pardon the gist of my jest...)@flipwils Viv. and the Dvorak that followed it (for my following the link) are lovely examples of the music of their eras.  I have a personal preference to hear such in the manner they were done original...

Re 'women's hearing sensitivities' and an 'in house' note...Spouse enjoys loud music, but could only enjoy it for a limited time..."Too shrill, it's fine for awhile but annoying after awhile...." in a time of cones 'n domes in our audio diet.   Wh...

Aesthetics vs. control seems to have a fine line that visual taste vs. 'appreciated musicality' have to waltz upon.  Since most don't have the freedom to have a 'segregated' room for audio or AV, there's a limit to what and how one can apply.  GIK...
