The Future of Speakers?

Take that to good will
Except for a 8.5~9 Garrard Z-100 @ Goodwill for 20$ (with a Shure cart and a useable stylus), I've had good results @ the local Habitat....Sometimes, some gotta vent somewhere....*shrug*At least it's not all caps....
Easily the best and most significant sonic tweak one could ever make!
The bulk of my hearing loss was mid-range; bass and lower highs still 'there' even @ 69.  Conversations, individual and group, subject to misunderstandings and misinterpretations.Certified audiologist, had worked with musicians.Phonex Audeo' works...

Women who enjoy quality speakers
@audiokinesis , isn't it great to have an 'in-house' QC? ;)Spouse is awaiting a pair of 'semi-sorta SOTA' monitors for her desktop, as 'in-monitor' pairs on dual screens are laughable @ best....We have different 'preferences', but music is a commo...

I was told to put Kitty Litter in my new speaker stands. Was he joking?
@funkbass, save Dr. E for da cat. ;)As for different brands, here's a 'consumer research' project....👍😊 You've got a ready 'recycling' for the brands that don't do the deed. ;)Win~win....*G*
Opinions!!
Happy to note that the MBL's got a mention at least....pricey....Wide soundstage, go omni.  A pair of boxes can only take you so far.I've a pair of Walsh roughly a third of the way into a space.'Soundstage' becomes as large as I care to make it.
Speakers good for close to wall placement
Depending on your space, an Ohm Walsh prefers to be at least a few feet away from a wall/walls...  Some have a small 'footprint', so that may not be an issue. They can be a bit fussy, being at heart an omni.If you absolutely have to be on the wall,...

One abreviated word:Don't.You're going to compete with SalvArmy/Habitat sifters looking for THAT and happy to waste your time.  You'll spend most of your time listening to what You've bought to sort the trash from the 'ehh, OK's'.  If it's not a '...
