Am I Getting Soft Here?
...everyone’s playing nice on a beautiful Sunday (at least, here..*S*), nice change from the sturm und drang...;) I enjoy the odd pile of mine, incremental adds ’n subtracts as the muse and situational fate occurs. Since all of this effects 5 sep...
Ground voltage!!
Yes, everything you know is Wrong. Kick back with a nice warm Bear Wizz and wait for the daily miracle, even if it's paisley yet again. Seriously, can you plug a typical lamp into that socket without a fail? And 'hot' is the small slot on the r...
Ohio - Over the Rhine
Plaintive lyrics, well done..... Traveled a bit around this country, saw a lot of small towns and burgs that fell into those words, slowly withering as the ones with a clue drifted away if they could. ------------- Some decades back, spouse and...

The opening druming on 'Hot for Teacher' (Van Halen) reminds me of the lumpy idle of an AA fueler prior to a blistering launch... ...another reason my hearing sucks...*L*
Why do so many sellers take offense to offers on their listings?
@rhodes, still working on absorbing all that....*L* If on the hunt, I study the market on it prior to.  If I think it's fair enough, the seller gets theirs and all happiness....  'Let's make a deal' w/ a 'firm' generally a no-start, obo begats cu...

Help Building an Audio Room
@panzrwagn, I like your 'piano keys' approach on the wall.  A simple 'graphic' approach that makes what's usually bland into appropriate for a audio room.... I think I'll 'steal' that... ;) Hi, Miller....I'm working towards a distributed sub sys...
System that sounds so real it is easy to mistaken it is not live
@audioman58, yup....a good omni set up properly in a space and driven by decent equipment can do that...and not just in the sweet spot. Haven't been lucky enough to hear a pair yet. And would avoid hearing 4 in surround....spoil me permanently,
Do YOU have a flat frequency response in your room?
@lordrootman, the nice thing about ’online’ is that no one can twist your arm to buy. ;) I’ll read/listen, but that doesn’t mean a sale or commitment to do so. *S* Never heard of or have heard Audyssey, but no reason to ignore either...*shrug* Se...
Do YOU have a flat frequency response in your room?
@duckworp, yup and the pursuit of one's personal nirvana is pretty much the other name of the game. *G* And, of course, enthusiasm and budget to float ones' boat. ;)  I've just grown relaxed about it....

Do YOU have a flat frequency response in your room?
kota, I do hope there was a 'no' well-placed in that first sentence to nonoise.... ;)  Otherwise, it reads more like we've been wasting our time chasing a chimera instead of sirens....😏  And totally clueless as to the proper means.... I've pursue...
