If a speaker cable added 1 - 2 ohms of resistance would that be?
DC resistance will affect the bass the most. It will make the sound lacking dynamic since the amp won’t be able to drive the woofer as hard. An 8ft cable should have no more than .1 or .2 ohm of DC resistance.

If these are 1-2 ohms, a standard good quality meter should get you close enough. Not perfect, but close enough. No, you really need to make a four-wire measurement.  1 or 2 ohm is too much for a 8ft cable.
Amir and Blind Testing
I don't think the problem with Amir is calibration.  Even if the instrument is off a little bit it shouldn't matter.  The problem with Amir is he doesn't have a clue what he's measuring.
Amir and Blind Testing
Lols Amir is like religion to the the objectivists.
Why should audiophile deniers be allowed on an audiophile forum?
The so-called objectivists are not completely non-guilty.  They have their own religion that they follow too: It's called Belden cable.
Power Cords - Shielding or No Shielding
In their words, "A well designed power supply will not get noise induced into the power cord..."   Shielding is only one aspect of a power cable.  There are improvement that has nothing to do with noise shielding.
Has the cost of HiFi gotten a bit too much?
If you look at the cost computer, it has actually gone down in price. But not for high end hifi gears. Something like this costs 30K brand new.  It does not seem to make sense. https://www.audiogon.com/listings/lisag1be-allnic-audio-l10000-tube

There are sheep. Their ruler is the FED. 😀
Has the cost of HiFi gotten a bit too much?
When the banks need money, they issue bonds. The FED purchase the bonds, but since the FED doesn’t have any cash, they have to print money out of thin air. I understand there is a need to expand the money supply when the is a growth in population...

The FED doesn't print money. Yes.
Audiophile Fuses: Helpful or "Snake Oil"?
I also measured on a scope. This has to be the most naive statement in audio.

A nice convertible Bentley will cost a couple hundred thousand. The price of cars is just getting too expensive!!  High end stuffs do cost a lot more money but the issue I raised is that the cost has risen quite a bit lately.
Has the cost of HiFi gotten a bit too much?
Money has been printed since the beginning of recorded time...why is anyone surprised? The money supply will always grow as population grows. It's not a surprise.  It's just that the magnitude of money printing lately that is alarming along wit...

US national debt clock: https://www.usdebtclock.org/ The FED is a giant ponzi scheme. Actually the US debt to GPD ratio is not as bad as among the world leading economy.  https://www.usdebtclock.org/world-debt-clock.html

All FIAT currency will eventually fail.  The current FED 8 trillion dollar balance sheet may be a start.
