speaker break in time or ?
Depends on the speaker and associated parts. I have owned speakers that sounded fine after 20 hours and speakers that required 600 hours before they really began to perform. The U, A and M series Sound lab, Kharma Exquisite 1De and the Dali Megali...
What is the quietest preamp you've used?
Since were talking ONLY about noise and not any other factor, I would guess either Krell or Boulder. Interesting to see all the answers.

Ready to try vinyl
Before we can go-on there is one subject that is really important for to do a critical evaluation on TTs and that critical subject is the TONEARM/CARTRIDGE combination: is has to be the same. Albert we have to find how we can run the Walker with a...

I think you guys may be running the risk of crushing the inertia of the original poster, who simply ask if he should venture into the world of vinyl.Personally I am slow to suggest that move to anyone who is not already into LP's, its a big commit...

These stories are wonderful. I can just picture these cats doing all the things described here. The winning story however, is from Bob Bundus. PET FOX SQUIRREL? I thought I had a pretty good thing going, calling my bunch down from the trees in the...

If you bought it new, it may still be in warranty. The ES Sony gear carries a full 5 year warranty.Worth checking even if I'm wrong. Free is preferable to paying for service and part of the reason this unit was priced near $1000.00 (discount) when...
