Do I buy an upscale TT?
My friend bought a fully refurbished Garrard 401 with some upgraded parts, with a very nice plinth, fitted with a Groovemaster 12" and an Ortofon SPU Royal GM II. For some reason he had to go back to his other turntable which was Nottingham Analo...

@rauliruegas these are your words. 'The subjectivist, at least gentlemans as alan, are " closed mind " and almost always are entitled to that " stupid "

@rauliruegas I note you said I have a closed mind and am stupid. I am the very antithesis of a closed mind, that is why I am prepared to try things that break the normal convention, which appears to be the very opposite of yourself and @mijostyn, ...

@rauliruegas  sorry but I am not interested in nor do I want to understand all the theories. All that interests me is the music and how it sounds to my ears, and to me I enjoy what the Viv Labs brings to my system.

@lewm I take your point, perhaps 'open mind' would be more appropriate.

@pindac has hit the nail on the head surely the point is the enjoyment of music. I don't know about anyone else but when I buy a new piece of equipment I don't give a stuff about the theories, the equations, the technical specifications, the meas...

All I can say is listen for yourself and then you can judge and have an informed opinion. If you hear one and like what you hear then great, if you don't like it then that's great as well. There is an old saying 'the proof of the pudding is in th...
