You should definitely try Fritz Gulda for that!

Amp for Sonus Faber Cremona's
TUBES sound wonderful with this speaker!I listened to the Cremona with Graaf, Lua "Alborada"and McIntosh, of course.
voltage/power requirements in different countries
NO, don't worry!
London or Europe Anyone: Changing Voltage Again?
It's nonsense that stepdown or stepup transformers in general are a high end no no. There is no audible effect whatsoever if you use decent units. I run an all American system in Germany. My Wadias are fed by PSAudio PS300 which accepts 220Volts (...
CD Players that deliver outstanding vocals
WADIA 861, WADIA 270transport/27ix DAC, Linn
How many weeks of income did your sys. cost?
You better think of the years and decades of joy and musical fullfillment rather than of those nasty moments when you have to fork over big bucks. Life is short and the good things aren't for free..... so just enjoy!Good luck!
How to indentify new Svetlana KT88?
Only thing I can tell ist that my new KT88s came in black/red/white boxes with the big "C" on it. They sound the same in my MAC MC2000 as the original KT88s with the McIntosh imprint.Good luck!
PS Audio Ultimate Outlet. Worth Investment?
If you think power "conditioning" you'll be better off with a PSAudio PowerPlant (see their website). The PS300 was the best investment under 1k in relation to the improvement in my system. Try it - they have a money back guarantee.Good luck!
Dealing with Voltages: 110v to 220v vice versa
There wil be NO PROBLEM whatsoever when using 110 gear with a transformer on 220 and vice versa! Here in Germany a big electronic chain store sells transformers from 30Watts to 1000 Watts for low money (the 1000W unit is around $200) doing the tra...
KT 88's....what's the story????
I have the McIntosh MC2000 running 8 KT88s. The sound of this gear is just fantastic. One of the 8 tubes "blew" a while ago which resulted in a hard distortion of the channel in question. Unfortunately subsequently one resistor got bad. That meant...
Bach's Mass in B Minor: What is best CD out there?
Well said, Sugarbrie!! The "authentic" stuff is often only interesting musicologically. Most of these recordings are bloodless, flimsy, thin and emotionless. Regarding the point of "not so good musicians" you are not correct, I'm afraid. The orche...
Bach's Mass in B Minor: What is best CD out there?
Please forget any recording of this greatest piece on earth and try to get Thomas Hengelbrock conducting the Balthasar Neumann Choir and the Barockorchester Freiburg. It might not be in stock in the US but DO ask for it. When they got to the moon ...
Any experience with a Wadia 6?
I'm not so sure about Karl's view of WADIA answering e-mails/phone - sad experiences in this field on my side. But I agree with Karl better not to look for some ancient CDP but for newer products. A used 850 will open quite some skies for you and ...
Saddended by the death of Maurice Gibb
Played Bee Gee's music all day and found (again) that the early stuff around "NY Mining Disaster" and "I Started A Joke" is among the best pop music of its time. You'll be missed, Maurice!
