Is Kind of Blue the Best Jazz Album Ever Why bother with a term in superlative? Even more when it comes to music or art?!
Vibraphone recommendations? You should definitely check out Gary Burton (together with Ralph Towner) "Slide Show". It's brilliant..... and high end sound by ECM!Good luck!
Divorcing..Splitting the cd collection.. Well, I guess all the above solutions cannot help the loss of the real CD collection. They all describe just the keeping of musical data - not the medium itself and all the memories coming with it. So I'd suggest you sit down and really sort out w...
The Rite of Spring Best "Sacre" to my mind is Rattle on "Rhythm Is It"-soundtrack. That one is much more intense than his CD recording with City of Birmingham Symphony - no wonder: this is Berlin Phil!! Second choice is the above mentioned Dutoit. Third choice is Ma...
How to stop iPod Syncing? Double click on the ipod icon on the desktop. A setting window pops up. In your iPod "settings menu" just tick the box "manual synch". That means you always have to/can tell the iPod what to synch and what not.Good luck!
James Blunt out of tune? Mike - just listen to Bungalow Bill from the Beatles' White Album. The guitar intro is in completely different tune than Ringos voice when it comes in. The reason? Different takes, different musicians. Yet: I always wondered how this could get thr...

CD player straight into amps? Absolutely! Wadia 27ix into McIntosh MC 2000.I have an Audio Research SP 14 pre and a Burmester 808 pre. Both change the sound accordingly but don't improve it really. The best pre is no pre!
Any previous Wadia users?? Or did everyone move? The reason why you don't see too many Wadias for sale in the Gon is that most people will never part with their Wadia gear. I am with them since the X-32 days and I am perfectly happy today with the 270/27ix. To me Wadia represents true high end a...
It was 40 years ago today..... @Jeffrey: I am running the original Capitol Record which I bought that very day here in Germany. Other than that I have the Japanese CD - God knows how these technicians did what they did: an absolutely thrilling hearing experience is the result! ...
