Swiss Digital FUSE BOX Question Thread
Can you take the fuse box... out of its box... so you can wire it in directly into an amplifier chassis? Wired directly to the IEC inlet!  Or is it potted? I have an amp with 1x fuse on the inlet and 4x fuses on the amp boards. I have in the pas...
Pimping your router
@antigrunge2  Just realised you were first to suggest using a wired router only, and offboarding a separate wi-fi router if required. Even before @sns suggested it !! But regarding LPS, I always championed them and found they improved everything...

Yet another update: while I originally used the Acoustic Revive RLT1 filter on my streamer and then Etherregen, I have now moved it to the Draytek Vigor 2860 router, i.e. right at the entry point of public ADSL. The resultant clean up of soundsta...
Linn or T+A
@mgrif104 T+A apparently have a new internal network streaming module upgrade coming that is better in sound quality than the current one.
Mattresses, not stereos is where the money is
Consider that you will spend almost a third of your life in bed. So paying decent coin on a good mattress that will last for 15-20 years is money well spent. Sure there are a lot of overpriced mattresses, but I have never come across a cheap one ...

Doesn't it just slow the network traffic down to 100mbps, rather than cause the streamer not to work? For example I would slow down ports on a managed switch from 1Gb/s to 100mb/s, and a 1Gbs streamer would still work. But this was done at the s...
Linn or T+A
@lldd  are you saying the older style Kimax DSM with Organik upgrade was not as good as the new Klimax DSM? I prefer the look of the old Klimax, and its price+ upgrade is a LOT cheaper than the new DSM. Linn have properly worked on the network bo...
Telos Mini Quantum Resonator (MQR) & Puron Filter together
I had the Qv2 (now sold) and found it definitely did something but did not prefer it in the system. A sideways steps if you will. I also hear this with the Add-Powr EU4. At first I liked it, but upon removal things free up and everything sounds mo...
Telos Mini Quantum Resonator (MQR) & Puron Filter together
@cappuccino  Which of the QWave or QSine improved tv picture the most? Nordost website says QWave for A/V systems, but you are not the first to say QSine had a good effect here.
Has anyone tried a linear power supply with a Weiss 204 or 205?
https://www.whatsbestforum.com/threads/plixir-statement-lps-i-bought-this-flagship-grade-lps-just-now.36599/page-3 The user Vangelis on this thread tried a Plixir power supply with the Weiss and seems to be raving about the improvement. For more...
High Fidelity Cables?
@tranchautuan I would love to hear your thoughts on the new Apparition vs CT-1 UR (Ultimate Reference). I currently use the UR. I previously had the CT-1, CT-1E and CT-1U. Then stopped at the UR and had them for almost 10 years now. I never wen...
DAC Merry Go 'Round- why I stopped at Weiss
@jimmy2615 Thanks Jimmy, I was wondering if the new T+A DAC 200’s analog volume attenuator would negate any advantage the Weiss 501 possibly had.   Considering the T+A DAC 8 is an older generation, and you feel it is competitive with the Weiss...
Looking for intermediate-step Streamer: better than BS Node and not @ Bartok level pricing
@jmfawdofile I was in a similar boat and wanted a streamer that sounded better than the RPi and Node. Was going to try the Primare NP5 but went with the Lindemann Bridge II. It’s a German brand. Looks like a little box but don’t be fooled, high...
Audio / Stereo Rack
I have 4x Timbernation solid maple platforms (2" thick). I then had solid brass rod legs machined to a spike by a CNC shop and cut to various lengths so each shelf is stackable on top of each other. It all weights a ton. Had a few extra sets of b...
T+A DAC 200 or WEISS 501
@blisshifi  What do you think of the pre/volume control in the Weiss 501 vs the DAC200 ? Because the Weiss one is digital, but it has 4 voltage steps to keep things in the high range and as lossless as possible. But if one is after a dac/pre one...
