Power cables for PassLabs preamp and poweramp My simple Kimber PK10 Gold made a noticeable improvement on my Pass amp over the stock cable. My stock cable is in the box and that's where it will stay. Actually the Kimber is a fine PC for the money.
cable Clear Day Cables all the way. Second Paul is a great guy to deal with.
Best Way to Spend ~ $2000 for System Improvement Maybe buy a nice vinyl set up and spend weekends looking through used records; hopefully you have a used vinyl shop near by. Rediscover or discover music you never knew existed. Might be a lot more fun than buying a power cable. Just a thought.
Cardas Power Cords / Furutech vs Cardas Terminations I think Cardas used to use a more similar clamshell designed Furutech connector which are similar to the ones they use now with their brand name. Not sure if Cardas actually makes them in house or Furutech makes them for Cardas. I'd be surprised i...
Power cables for PassLabs preamp and poweramp Henrycai. Have not tried WyWires IC's or speaker cables; only the PC which is a great cable. I am so happy with my Clear Day Cables that I use for IC's - both single and balanced, and double shotgun speaker cables with their jumpers I have no desi...
Power cables for PassLabs preamp and poweramp Congratulations. You'll love the WyWires. Stick with the WyWires and don't look back at the Kimber's. The Kimber's a fine PC but the WyWires digs deeper at both ends, and a wider stage. I use both and had the Kimber's first; very latest PK10 Golds...
Power cables for PassLabs preamp and poweramp WyWires Silver Juice IIKimber PK10 Gold Those are what I use and sound great on both Pass and ModWright.
Preamp upgrade opinion... Telos. No the ModWright does not at all lack bass. It's a great preamp that is not at all thin, overly tubey or a wimp. I spoke to Pass when I was looking for a new preamp and they strongly cautioned me using a singled ended preamp on the X250; I ...
New amp for Vandersteen 2CE You started with the Pass Aleph 5 so guessing you know of one that's in your price point. I'd go for the Pass; it's a great amp and it will not be outclassed by your Vandy's which are nice speakers. I know both products having owned the 2CE's and ...
Preamp upgrade opinion... Meant Pass XP10... not X10
Preamp upgrade opinion... I have a Pass X250. I used to have a MW SWL 9.0 SE and I really liked that pre but being singled ended was a little too noisy on the Pass. You're pass wants to run balanced so I would caution not sticking with a balanced preamp. I moved up to a MW...
Help with Cable selection Not familiar with your AQ Big Surs but know the Kimbers well. Used to own the 4TC and it is a good cable. I like Kimber and was the one that got one of the local shops to pick them up some twenty years ago and they still carry them. I have a coupl...
best remote preamp for McCormack amp For what the SF Line 1 goes for that's a hard one to beat. The ModWright SWL 9.0 SE has a little better PRAT. Built quality on both are great. The remote on the SF does more; the MW remote only does the volume but it's a really nice sounding pream...
from ARC to Pass ? http://www.cryoset.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=415&osCsid=95ddfef4fdc1d211879793363...Sticking to the components you started the post with. No doubt the Pass is a more refined amp than your current ARC amp. Maybe just upgrade one ...
from ARC to Pass ? As mentioned in my previous post you might want to try your LS25MKII with the X150.5. After I purchased my MW LS36.5 I pulled out the stock Sovtek's and went with EH 6H300Pi's from Cryoset Certified which really opened things up; highly recommend ... |
