Rega P3-24 isolation ??..... any thoughts ?? Thanks, guys.........Has anyone tried a maple or MDF board resting on Vibracones or Herbie's Tenderfeet or brass cones (or something similar), with the table (with its stock rubber feet) sitting on the board ? Would this offer any sonic improvement ?
Cart Reccomendation for P5 re: roomate idiocy Rega Exact 2.......and keep your roomate away.
Vandie 1c or Maggie MMG? VANDERSTEEN 1C's..........I'm obviously biased, because I'm incredibly happy with my 1C's. Give them a listen...they should sound terrific with your amp.Good Luck, and Happy Listening.
More convinced of analog than ever Can't we all learn to share the same sandbox and play nicely together ? I love music.....some nights it's CD's, other nights it's LP's.....it's all great music through my system. Yes, I must admit that I'm presently spending more hours listening t...

Tube-friendly speakers My Rogue Audio Cronus integrated amplifier (55 wats of EL-34 tube power) does an absolutely wonderful job driving my Vandersteen 1C speakers. The Vandersteens may indeed get along quite well with your AES Six-Pac amps.Good Luck, and Happy Listening.
Best cartridge for Rega RB- 250? Nice system, McPhile. I bet those Klipsch's sound wonderful driven by your McIntosh gear. I agree with Johnnyb53......the Rega Exact should work well.Personally, I'm extremely happy with my Rega P3-24/Rega RB-301/Rega Exact 2 combination. Good Luc...
Differences between Rega P3, P3-24 and P3-2000 I suggest that you "google" the term "Rega P3-24." There are many very well written reviews out there that clearly explain the differences between the tables. The major improvements seen in the P3-24 include a new tonearm, upgraded motor, differen...
Need speaker advice for new Rotel system I agree with a lot of the previous responses ... Vandersteen 1C's or 2Ce Sig./II's should sound absolutely wonderful with your Rotel set-up. You should definitely give them a try. Good Luck, and Happy Listening !!!
Personal turntable/cartridge evolution I started out with a "Longines Symphonette" all-in-one "suitcase-style" record player, back in the early 70's. I remeber taping a penny to the top end of the tonearm to allow for sufficient tracking force !! Then, when I was a freshman in college ...

What makes for a "great" turntable? Real simple..........a "great" turntable is one which spins records at the proper speed, is reliable, and, most importantly, makes you want to play LP after LP after LP. A great turntable is one which makes you forget about the turntable itself, a...
What footer best under cd player I recently had a nice discussion with Sam at Vibrapods, and I asked what he would recommend for my Rotel RCD-1072 player. He suggested that I keep things simple, and put four of his Type 2 Vibrapods under the existing feet of my Rotel. So.....I bo...
What is the best analog sounding CD player $2000 Here's my two cents....The Rotel RCD-1072, at $700.00, is an incredibly musical, analog sounding player. If your budget is $2000.00, buy the Rotel, and with the extra $1300, buy a Rega P3-24 turntable/Exact 2 cartridge combination. Then, start enj...
Rega P5 Benz Micro Glider, Ace, or Stay w/Exact? My Rega P3-24 table with the Rega Exact 2 cartridge sings incredibly beautiful music, and I am thrilled with the way this combination sounds. It works great with my system (click on to take a look), and I'm a firm believer in the synergy created w... |
