Who needs a MM cartridge type when we have MC?
I also agree with All above that we need good digital, if only because of the music not recorded on LP's. Raul, I have had the Bel Canto CD2 playing into the Dac3. Check that out. Great sound, never listened. I have tried and for the reason above,...

Harold, I think your on to something. I think I still have my 3 head Yamaha cassette deck in a closet somewhere. Then we could get some distortions going! You are going to force me to play some Rush or Uriah Heep in your honor. I don't think they ...

Thanks to the useful people who have added to my knowledge and collection.
Top 10 Alt-country bands
Noted, the reason people have posted for a favorite band, if it belongs on the best ever list or not, is to make others aware of a band they might not know about, so they can pick up that bands music, not to actually ARGUE.Then you come along and ...

Raul, Really!!!!I did not like the sound of the Denon player and picked a much nicer Marantz SACD player. It sounds great , but I don't listen, and now it misreads. I have 1000's of SACD and good redbook CD's. I am looking at a much better Dac, an...

Halcro, I found it interesting that you still choose the Signet TK7lca to the AT150anv. I think the 150anv is more detailed in all areas, but the Signet does sound like LIVE music, on my system.Good ear on catching they sound more alike than diffe...

Is it possible we are back to "people hear different"? Some people's turntables are driving them crazy with speed errors that others cannot detect, while others are saying the pitch of a certain instrument was off, and another cannot detect that. ...

Charles1dad, I have been listening to Shirley Scott with Lockjaw Davis, on a " Cookbook'' compilation. Great playing from everyone. Jerome Richardson adds a lot of great flute playing.I think I have the original recordings somewhere???
Who needs a MM cartridge type when we have MC?
I am exactly the opposite of Lewm and Mike. I rarely listen to the same cartridge for more than a week at a time. I am able to listen to music for about 4-5 hours a night, when my wife is in China, ( about 5-6 months a year) and about 2 hours a ni...
Most expensive piece of vinyl you acquired is?
$100 for Miles Davis "Pangea ", but it was a double album Honey, so only $50 dollars a record. A steal!

Rok, No intention of a thread hijack, please look at it as a small supplement.I have been enjoying your lists. Even ordered and am listening to the Mellow Fellows, on vinyl. Very good indeed.I stumbled across Etta Jones by way of the great Houston...

Harold, I don't know how the evil prince, who got his butt kicked, can be honored, however I do get the joke! :)I have an ULTRA 300 stylus on the way.

Raul, I agreed 100%, and was very disappointed, until I went back to the bare platter on the AS. I had been using the Trans-fi mat with the AT 150 anv. (didn't sound good on the platter). The cartridge came alive. Have you thought about having ins...

Hello Raul, I have finally got the Shure 140he broke in, I think. It has about 25 hours now. At the 10-15 hour mark I was ready to quit, and was very disappointed, but now, all is good. Took a lot of tweaking the setup also. It is real smooth, and...
