Is there a problem at Revel?
There was a post I read recently involving Quality Control and the wage's which tech's are paid at ML. Was not encouraging to say the least.I do not remember if it was just a disgruntled employee or what, but I definitely do not like what has happe...
Narrowing down floorstander selection.
I would consider VMPS which is one speaker I would really like to hear. Innersounds are another manf. I have heard great things about for Electrostatics panels that have been able to pulloff intergration between Panels and a Dynamic Drivers.
Frank's Analog 2 from Signal Cable
Eichmann RCA's have less material to get in the way of the signal, but they can be fragile to some users. I have tried various RCA's in order to narrow down what might be the best to use on cables I am making. Alot depends on synergy also. Some peo...

What is your best kept secret in mid-fi?
Geez,I thought anything that is worth knowing about in audio can be discoverd on these BB's.Right now the DAK is the newest piece to hit the marketplace. Before that it was the MENSA DAC. I think people are beginning to discover that upsampling is...
Is a cable cooker worth it?
Sean, geez! with all the cable you have I would place a few ad's to do some late summer cleaning! The only cable I went back to recently was a small run of Tara Labs TFA for Bass drivers. I really do not like Kimber, but I respect what Ray has done....

Sakura Systems OTA Cable Kit
Well he must have went MAD! If you made OTA a clear color, then put a protective sleeve over it there would be no difference in the sound. But light might slow down energy so there might be plausible reason for such an experiment.A good physics ques...

Sakura Systems OTA Cable Kit
Kub I really did not get what they were trying to address in the table or lit. I was just trying to findout what those who know the technicals had to say about it. Light and pigment color would have no bearing on how a cable reacts I would think.I...
Sakura Systems OTA Cable Kit
In researching Pigment used in Cables I ran accross this. Is this stating that the fact of what pigment you use will make a difference in the way the wire will pass a signal?"In thin coating applications, such as insulation coatings on copper tele...

Jim Hagerman has an inexpensive cooker out. FOr those on a budget it might be worth it.http://www.hagtech.com/frykleaner.html
XLO, Cardas vs Tara Labs, MIT: which ones?
No one can give you a correct answer. All depends on synergy of your wires with the components.I would get Solid Core or Ribbon designs though.I use an Excellent Solid Core design throughout my system which I plan on marketing.Good Luck!
