have a pair of Tekton Perfect Set 15s but need a lighter speaker
Hello @lejan  I have a pair of the 2-10s on Gaia IIs. Tekton offers surprisingly good sound for the price point.  To play with placement I put them (and the gaia's) on washcloth so I can easily slide them around on my wood floor. Once I  get the...
Pontus II + Node 2i - VS - Gold Note DS-10 Plus
@mpomerantz  When I demoed the GN gear with my Atma Sphere Class D moon blocks I found the Gold Note combo (DAC, streamer, pre + external power supply) to sound similar to my Pontus. I hair warmer which was not to my taste. I would not say the GN...
Pontus II + Node 2i - VS - Gold Note DS-10 Plus
I had the Billy first addition. The Mark II is getting rave reviews from YouTubers. https://www.stereophile.com/content/heaven-11-and-buchardt-audio
Pontus II + Node 2i - VS - Gold Note DS-10 Plus
@bluethinker66  I can appreciate your preference my friend, my wife shares the same desire for a more warm relaxing presentation. I've heard good things about the Merason Dac1, which may be to your liking.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KSB_Yr...
Pontus II + Node 2i - VS - Gold Note DS-10 Plus
Nice setup you got there! I bet that sounds fantastic. To be completely honest the Gold Note (DS-10 EVO and EVO power supply) don't suit my tastes as much as my Bluesound Node2i and Pontus II (dac). I'm not saying one is clearly superior to the o...
Pontus II + Node 2i - VS - Gold Note DS-10 Plus
@bluethinker  Do you have the Gold Note gear in your system yet?  I've been listening to the DS-10 EVO and PSU-10 EVO in my system for a couple days and compared to my Pontus there's a noticeable difference. Just wondering what you think of the ...
Decware and “The List”
FYI - The waitlist is currently 2088 people long, with an approximate 20 month build time.
Decware and “The List”
@moonwatcher I don't want to highjack this "Decware" thread but I can say I'm not missing my tubes one bit. Believe it or not the thought of "do they sound as good as a tube amp" hasn't crossed my mind, not once.  Tekton does farm out their grill...
Decware and “The List”
@moonwatcher @bluorion  I too have been through the Tekton / Decware spinning wheel of death. 😂 It took several months of emails and phone calls to get my matching white grills. They mistakenly sent two pairs of black grills before they got it r...
New Class D amplifiers
Atma Sphere Class D mono blocks  I’ve only had them in my rig for a day, but I am very impressed. It blows the doors off my Willsenton R8. And I’m simply running balanced direct from my Pontus II.    The bass is soooo much grippier and textured....
STREAER / DAC / LINE STAGE - Gold Note vs Hifi Rose
@benzman @jonathan69  thank you for taking the time to share your impressions.   just one follow up question, did you hear the DS-10 with the external power supply (PSU-10 EVO)? this addition is supposed to bring major improvements, at lea...
LOUDEST Concert and Tinnitus
SoundGarden Red Rocks - front row. Chris’s voice was easily the most terrifyingly beautiful thing I’d ever heard. My ears rang for about a week. Now a days, Burning Man - some of the art cars (Mayan Warrior and Robot Heart) can get pretty loud, e...
Psychologist dissects Pink Floyd's 'Dark Side of the Moon'
15 minutes of some of the sweetest stylings of Gilmore.   Happy Friday you strange weird freaking people.
Psychologist dissects Pink Floyd's 'Dark Side of the Moon'
Interesting views here. Some seem to be in the "leave it alone, we already know everything" camp, and other's in the "I learned something new" camp.  As with most forms art, once the work is released into the wild it takes on a life of it's own....
Psychologist dissects Pink Floyd's 'Dark Side of the Moon'
@bigtwin We saw the same show in Denver. I brought my daughter thinking how cool would it be to have Rogers Waters as her first big concert. It was pretty bad. We left soon after the intermission.
