What Goes Around, Comes Around...?
Oh, this wasn't intended to be only a comparison of Franks/Mayer/others, but kinda like Viridian's Benson/Montgomery take.Do appreciate the suggestion, at any rate, exceit.
Why is there so much Rowland gear for sale?
Hopefully, everyone knows the difference between Rowland and Roland equipment. I have not heard any Rowland gear, but my son's Roland V-drum kit sounds mighty good! :-)
Where are analog resources for the beginner?
Here is a link that might also be of benefit to you. http://www.audioasylum.com/scripts/d.pl?audio/faq.html#vinyl
Art Blakey/Jazz Messengers
I have only three Blakely LP's that feature Morgan and would like to find more."Big Beat" - also includes Wayne Shorter on TS. Not sure if it was CD'd."Les Femmes Disparaissent" not quite as good, but interesting. From a French movie soundtrack, i...
Classe CA201 vs. McCormack DNA225 with B&W?
I cannot comment on the synergy with B&W, but I compared the Classe 201 before I bought my DNA-225. I found the McCormack to have a much better midrange. I thought the upper end of the Classe was a little bit too analytical for my taste. Bass ...
What is the best way to pack and ship LPs?
VERY good point, Albert. After learning the hard way, I request that shippers do this with any LP's I order through the mail, because even some seemingly high-volume dealers fail to do so.
What Goes Around, Comes Around...?
Not sure about your pigmentation theory, Marty, but it is often helpful to take yet another step towards the dusty recesses of the vault, man. Mose Alison is the type of relatively obscure reference I was looking for in comparisons. Great piany pl...
Which Cord Are U Using On Your Stealth?
Hmm, if your AC power was, in fact, decent, why try a Stealth to begin with?My AC here in the Bay Area, CA cannot be called decent and the Stealth does a fantasitic job in my system. Sounded a bit a constrained at first, though better overall, and...
How much to spend on analog to get a decent sytem?
Here's a jackass, I guess. Depending upon how large of a CD collection you already own, one thing to keep in mind about analog is that you should be able to build a collection of MUSIC for much less money. Unless, of course, you are only into more...
Math calculations about the speed of a TT..help...
Nice post, Ghostrider. Didn't you sit behind me in physics? :-)
Which Cord Are U Using On Your Stealth?
Morasp. that is a useful and quite interesting comparison. I know that here in the Bay Area (California), the power is inconsistent between periods of the day/night. I shall do some comparisons of my own as you have done.
Best set-up for up to 9k retail?
Geez, Marakanetz, why apologize for opening a can-o-worms with respect to Twl (needlessly, IMHO) and then open another with respect to Rives? Different ballgame, anyway, Rives having product and services to SELL, and Twl not. That being said, Rives...
Best set-up for up to 9k retail?
Kinda like your pimping of Purist Audio cables, Inna? Why not make that "outta", instead of "inna"? Who else has similar thoughts?
Best set-up for up to 9k retail?
I must reiterate what Carl has said, lest anyone relatively new to this forum be left with a mistaken impression. Twl, has probably helped more people with analog questions than you have hairs on your head, Inna. And when suggestions are given the...
Which Cord Are U Using On Your Stealth?
Kana, the fact that you are an unabashed Stealth basher is blatantly obvious. Funny, you are the only one I've heard from that has been soooo disappointed with your Stealth from the "git go". Does it sound like it will after break in, no. Does it ...
