malafr, on behalf of several, thanks for that assessment.
The importance of azimuth
We were able to assemble a consortium for the purchase of one, Marc. Another group could well be initiated but I will forewarn you that it has been well over three weeks since it was ordered and no word about when it will ship. It seems Wally has ...

Nottingham Interspace TT/Arm vs Used Linn Lp12
Soliver, it is good to hear that you enjoy the Hadcock. It has been said that Tom Fletcher used a Hadcock to "voice" his first tables. I tried a Hadcock in comparison with the Spacearm using a Shelter MkII and preferred the Spacearm. Perhaps thing...
would you bother?
In retrospect, and if I didn't know better, it may appear that the initial post in this thread was crafted to spark the "conversation" that has followed. I will just leave my challenge out the for anyone who wants to bite.Funny how those who never...

I agree with Johnnantais with respect to the silly hand-wringing over cost. The ONLY issue with respect to cost is that if you have no LP's, it will cost a good deal to build a library of music. But, if you also have no CD's, or very few, even bui...

I am glad to see that the Spacedeck is becoming the choice of so many and is getting the "props" it deserves.
O.K. Fess Up. Come Clean. Sing Like A Canary.
I had the AT Safety Raiser but sold it to A'Gon member Sean when it would not work with my 'Not. It worked like a charm with my old Linn. Now I wish I'd have held off selling (though I'm glad Sean put it to good use) as I have figured out a simple...

Spencer, I feel your pain with respect to the lifts on 'Nots - and just about any other so-called cantilever armboard tables. I am attempting to rig a platform which attatches under the platter plinth on which to mount a lift for a Spacedeck. Will...
I could use some jazz mentoring.
If you are looking for rather melancholy sax, try the Art Pepper CD "Ballads". It'll make you cry.

Ok, so 7 5/8 is the size for fitting me with the Buscis Memorial Dunce Cap.Many moons ago, I am sitting home on a Friday afternoon listening to grooves when the phone rings. I turn down my Marantz receiver and answer the phone. A buddy says - "hey...
Best TT/Arm combo fro $2,000-2,500
Didn't you just ask basically the same question is another thread? Jimbo is correct.

Ok, others can weigh in here since two other tables are being brought to the fray. Personally, I like the Spacedeck better than either of the two tables you mention, especially the 2001. Too, I would not own a Basis if you think you'll ever have t...

I built my own dustcover using 1/4" plexi and finished the edges with wood trim. Looks great, works great, but is heavy. Search the forums! There were suggestions for dustcovers not to long ago.

I have mentioned the 17d. I think the Interspace deserve a little better than the Blue Point. It is a decent cartridge and all but there are better option, IMHO, at that price. I have not heard the Glider on a Spacearm but two folks that I know re...
