Will audio gear be ok in unheated house
+1 thecarpathian Winter or cold temps can be very rough on capacitors, particularly old ones. If they freeze and warm-up they might fail or lose integrity/ Probably due to very minor expansion and contraction.
Do I Need a Dedicated Streamer?
In the end, these devices are musical boxes of wires, so if you use a computer, a streamer or a Frankenstein version of a pie, it’s a stereo sound. I say this; put together a system that sounds good to you. Most of us do experiments and swap gear ...
Musical subwoofer under $2000
I agree with hilde45 Get 2 Rythmik subs, Very musical and very flexible. Plus they have a fast servo amp system. IMO. I have two and they are very good indeed.
Goodbye Everyone
Good luck and God Bless. Physicians know much about the heart and cardio vascular system. Be confident in the collective accumulation of knowledge and experience and the skills of your surgery team.
Do I Need a Dedicated Streamer?
I look at it this way. I could buy a can of Campbell’s Tomato soup and take it home, place it on my stovetop and cook it in the can. Why would I need a pot? Well the answer is "no" you do not. But the can the soup is packaged and transported in is...
Need a new integrated, what say you?
I have the Vandersteen 2Ce Sig II and as recommended previously use the Musical Fidelity M6500i.
Bose 901 Series V Questions
Interesting side note: Omar Bose (electrical engineer) also had a passion for automobile suspension. He developed a very sophisticated suspension system that he tried to get adopted by major car companies without success.
What say you?

Rythmik or REL Subs to pair with Totem Element Metal V2?
Dual stereo Rythmik stereo F12SE with paper GR Research drivers. I agree with others here. The integration with your speakers can be more flexible and I agree the output is not extremely loud but accurate. I think REL makes good subs as well thou...
Have we lost civility and respect on Audio forums?
asvjerry Those are well written eloquent thoughts and words to defend atrocious behavior. But I think society has been defending this kind of behavior for too long. Respect for others is something everyone here should know by now. We have enough ...
Have we lost civility and respect on Audio forums?
The forum is about stereo music and those boxes of wires we pay exceedingly higher prices to buy ...which reproduce that music. Let’s face it, in the large scheme of all things, not of very high importance. So when a poster starts acting like an a...
Have we lost civility and respect on Audio forums?
Yes, without question.
What news in 2023 struck you?
Let’s look at this logically. There has never been a better time to be an audiophile. Electrostatic speakers, horn speakers, open baffle, etc. One can stream high definition files, Flac, MQA, and add the best DAC you can afford. CD’s are still wit...
What news in 2023 struck you?
How about this one. "Unbelievable amount of hate towards MQA by people who don't use it and were never forced to do so...even after it was abandoned ". Maybe that ridiculously stupid trend will last into 2024.
What news in 2023 struck you?
The news that newer and even upstart companies and eastern countries audio are selling budget HIFI at very good prices that can compete with more established brands like ARC, B&W, Vandersteen, McIntosh, Klipsch, Martin Logan, NAD, etc. I am th...
