Question For My Electrical Expert Friends
Thanks _E...I plan to remove the original outlet and make the "splice" Romex to Romex with some wire nuts. I imagine this should not negate the intended purpose of a true dedicated line.
Ronnie Montrose
Had no idea he passed...All my buddies and I played the hell out of his first solo release...Man, that one rocked. I also enjoyed his other studio album. As Pehare points out, his playing on Van Morrison's albums (as well as others) was brilliant....
Pioneer S-1EX Loudspeaker
I am auditioning the S-1EX's in my room this weekend. So far, these are by far the best $15,0000 - $18,000 speaker I have heard in my room (they are now specially priced - new - at $7,000). I also auditioned the "2's" (the smaller "monitor" versio...
Transport for PS Audio PW DAC
PWD MK2 upgrade is essential. That upgrade and the Bridge will allow you to forego CD playback. You'll love it...no question about it.
PS Audio PWD MkII vs W4S DAC2
Neal:If you're not interested in, 1) computer audio via the new MK2 USB interface, or 2) stored digital files via the Bridge, then I wouldn't recommend making the change. If you are strictly a CD user (for your digital), then you might consider the...
Pioneer S-1EX Loudspeaker
Thank you Geared-4-me, That's very helpful. I currently have the Krell Resolution 2 speakers - no slouches either, but I am hoping the Pioneers will deliver the same controlled and authoritative base as the Krells, but with a more resolving high-f...
Opting for no CDP -- only to regret it?
I agree with Edorr.I still have my disc transport, but I only use it for DVD concerts. Anymore, I really don't even considered listening to Cd's via a mechanical lazer/transport.
Pioneer S-1EX Loudspeaker
Thanks Rhljazz.I have listened to them at the dealers, but I would of course have to listen to them in my system in my home and I haven't decided if I want to bother with that. I love the bigger TAD's, but the least expensive TAD is more than thir...
Pioneer S-1EX Loudspeaker
Marty. Thanks for the link. That's $3,375 for each speaker and that's about what I can get them for from my local dealer. I was curious about what other folks' opinions are on the speaker itself. Thanks again._Ben
PS Audio PerfectWave DAC Upgrade
Lewhite:Native - or NativeX - does not affect/impact the bit rate or the sample rate. Trans-coding only impacts the CODEC (FLAC to WAV).So, yes it does matter what "rez" you stream from the SS. The higher rez will (should) sound better than lower ...
PS Audio PerfectWave DAC Upgrade
Well, the posts over at the PS forum indicate that the new Digital Lens is only engaged when NativeX is activated. My assumptions were therefore incorrect.
PS Audio PerfectWave DAC Upgrade
I'm not sure about my aforementioned assumptions as stated in the above post. I have posed over at PS Audio to confirm/verify...
PS Audio PerfectWave DAC Upgrade
Lewhite. Native is indeed a bypass of the SRC. NativeX indeed benefits from the new "Digital Lens" built into the new MKII board. I'm not sure of the exact protocol.I assume that NativeX also bypasses the SRC. What I don't know for sure, but what ...
PS Audio PerfectWave DAC Upgrade
Levy:I absolutely love the sound of my system. I am getting a marvelous sound-stage with lots of air around individual instruments. I am not getting any sense of fatigue, even after long listening sessions. As I have reported on the PSA forum, I b...
PS Audio PerfectWave DAC Upgrade
MKII PWD owners, aside from the overall improvements provided by the complete MKII upgrade, more specifically, what is your impression of the difference between Native and NativeX? In doing an A/B between the two (by using the original remote and ...
