Anyone connected Muse 11 directly to Amps
Jeffrey:This thread is rather old so I hope you're looking in. Interesting comment regarding the Model 11 vs Model 10 sonic differences. Could you elaborate? I'm facing such a choice. I want to play CD/CDR/DVD-A/MP3 and maybe SACD but I'm not sold...
Solid state "backup" amp recommendation
Semi:You can get the Forte 4 serviced if need be so why not get another one for biamping? It's one of my favorite used SS amps but it does not solve the heat problem. Regarding the new crop of "digital" amps and I'm not sure what your speakers are...
Opinions on the Bel Canto Evo 4 Gen II
I lived with the EVO-4 Gen II (actually two of them for tri-amping) for about 6 months. It's a wonderful amp and very flexible. However, for about the same money of a used EVO-4 Gen II, I would strongly recommend you audition an ICE H2O S250 Signa...
Any experience with the Nuforce Ref 8 mono amps?
Kck:Just this weekend another Apogeeoholic finished his comparison of the Reference 8's to his stereo H20 Signature :http://audioworld.com/sw/Forum1/HTML/004446-2.htmlThe short story is that in the context of his system, the Reference 8's came in ...
New H20 Signature S250
Amandare:Yep, and it'll get even better. Makes a very, very good amp into a great amp. Based upon my listening and the small price difference between the standard and Signature, I bet the the Sig will WAY out-sell the standard so I've been encoura...
Preamp for H20 Signature S250
For the money, I feel the Transcendant Grounded Grid would be a great fit for any of Henry's amps. A great sounding tubed preamp with a low output impedance, that's inexpensive. What more can you ask for? Ok, ok a few more inputs.Jeff
H2O Owner Survey ?
I have the first three S250 Signatures and I'm VERY happy with them.
New H20 Signature S250
I leave my Tacts and H2O's on all the time. However, this time last year a lightning strike did take out the midrange and tweeter ribbons of my Apogee Divas with a colossal POW. This was prior to me using the Ultimate outlets or P600. The amps wer...
New H20 Signature S250
Actually, I do get a bit of compression using the P600 after a certain volume level is reached. But then I don't listen real loud and my room has concrete walls, floor and ceiling so it's very "efficient". However, the P600 does indeed clean thing...
New H20 Signature S250
I just got thru with another set of comparisons of the H2O S250 Sigs and my Tact 2150s. The sigs were, of course, run from the analog outputs of the TCS MK II while the Tact amps were fed from digital outputs. Both were plugged into their own PS a...
H2O Signature Stereo vs H20 Signature Mono Amps
Of course it would be fun and real interesting to compare a pair of the S250 Sigs passively biamping a bitchy load with a pair of the Sig monos. Same price point.Kinda like comparing a chipped out Audi S4 2.7T with a stock BMW M3....let the fun be...
Amp for Apogee Stage's
Vince:If it's truly parallel, then how do you know it's there?Jeff
H2O Signature Stereo vs H20 Signature Mono Amps
Barrelchief:Althought I've lived with both components for some time and I've never tried them with the H2O, I can certainly recommend the Transcendant Grounded Grid pre-amp and Phono Stage as outstandingly good values for the money. I think both w...
New H20 Signature S250
Well I took one of my S250 Sigs and a Tact S2150 over to my buddy Larry's place yesterday for a listen thru his, yet again, newly refurbished Sound Lab M-1s. The upgrades included a new membrane & stators (26 vs 20 per cell), new floor couplin...
H2O Signature Stereo vs H20 Signature Mono Amps
I'm thrilled with my Signature S250s. I had three of the original S250s for tri-amping and got the first Signature upgrade. It's definitely worth the extra cash and makes me wonder if Henry ought not skinny his line down to just the mono & ste...
