forte 4 VS. forte 4a VS. forte 7

I am not sure I have the right model numbers in my head but could it be a remote control?

the only difference I am aware is that the 4A is balanced (4 is not).

THE FORTE 4 IS 50WATTS CLASS A AND THE FORTE 7 ARE 75 WATT CLASS A MONOBLOCKS. THEY LOOK IDENTICAL TO THE 4 ONLY MORE POWER.I HAVE A FORTE 4 FOR A SECOND SYSTEM AND MY FRIEND HAS THE 7'S DRIVING VANDY 3A SIGS. WITH EXCELLENT RESULTS.

Forte 4 ,4a & 7 are Poweramps.
Perhaps U confused them as preamp.(i.e Forte 2, 40, 44)
and forte 44 pre has a remote control. :)

And I wanted to know which changes make 4 to 4a. :)

If you have any chance exchange forte 4 to forte 7 with extra $700, what will be your choice?
Could U tell me your opinion?

Since a used Forte 4 sells for about $600 or less, it would not be worth it to spend $700 more for two 7's. Just my opinion. If you need the extra power & really want the Forte sound, then go for it. I think at that price you could get a Threshold T200, which would be superior.
