Surround Theater Speakers Suggestions

I am currently using a B&W CM5 and one of my speakers blew and looking to replace the pair.

Are in-wall surround speakers good? Or should I go for B&W bookshelf type speakers.

Being in the ceiling produced a nice, distant, diffused sound that blended very well and produced a very enveloping and immersive experience. It was so good (and so unobtrusive) that when I do my HT I’m gonna set up my rear speakers this way. Hope this helps, and best of luck.

I have a very high-end theater installation, but, after a lot of investigation, I ended up purchasing Arendal 1723 THX speakers as my surround speakers. They have proven to be excellent. For me, their job has been to reproduce -- with high accuracy -- what they are sent by my preamp/processor; their bass capabilities below 80 Hz are not that important. A pair will cost you $1,849, and financing is available. Good luck!
