Speaker binding posts with plastic covers

My Krell amplifier has speaker binding posts with the clear plastic covers. Apparently these are for EU safety requirements. I want to use spade connectors and have no idea how to open these covers. I’ve wrestled with them but they don’t budge. I don’t even know whether they unscrew or pull out or whether there is some other method at play. Does anyone have experience with these?

Again, assuming they are like the speaker posts on the A21+ I owned, they were the best speaker terminals I have used.  Without having to yank them vice tight like on other speakers posts on a handful of amps I have owned, they held my speaker spades with an iron grip.  Part of the plastic holds the spades so they will not rotate.  Once you see how the spade needs to fit into the terminal, you are good to go.

BTW, if the top won't unscrew, maybe it's completely unscrewed! Try going clockwise and see if the top turns.

yes, you show a type, like mine and most, that does unscrew, and perhaps all the way out is a possibility, that would be the definition of dumb luck.

The link OP posted,

perhaps he just thought they all looked/worked the same, so he just posted that one, it just happened to be the rare one that does not unscrew.

IF this goes on any longer, we will need a photo I think.
