I got my 20/20 LPS as a combo. I never experienced either adding the LPS later nor hearing the 20/20 with its regular wall warts. If your LPS is new give it around 200hrs before you come to any conclusions. My combo took time to break in. It sounds very good now, very balanced top to bottom.
Sutherland LPS making sound thin?
Recently picked up a new LPS for my 20/20. Wasn’t sure what to expect the LPS to add/subtract from the sound but it seems like the background is quieter. It also seems like the mids and midbass is a little thinner.
curious if this is the sound or maybe it needs more hours on it or…?
id like to hear about experiences adding a LPS to an existing 20/20.

@audphile1 that’s my thinking but in searching various forums I didn’t get the idea others experienced this. It’s been plugged in for 36 hours-ish so I’ll keep on it. Love what it’s done to the upper mids and highs so far. |
@audphile1 thanks I will definitely do that. I also went ahead and changed the cart load to 475ohms which, with the LPS sounds better. |
