Speaker pairings for Lyngdorf 2170

Hello,

I'm looking to try some different speakers out with my current Lyngdorf 2170 integrated setup. I'm hoping to find some first hand experience in pairing with this integrated.

I have a large space ~30x24' that I use for general listening, and for dedicated listening sit around 8' centered from my main speakers. I often listen later, and need something that will sound good at all listening volumes. WAF Factor is important as this is our main entertaining room.

Current Setup is:
Lyngdorf 2170
Monitor Audio Gold Ref 60
Two (Stereo) Revel b12 subwoofers 
Elac Discovery media server
Thorens td160 w/ Musical Surroundings Phonomena stage.

I’ve heard the 2170 with the Spatial Audio M3 Sapphires and the Magnepan LRS… both with and without the Audio Kinesis 4 sub array… and with and without room correction. 
 

I found it to always sound good, never bright or harsh, good imaging and soundstage… as for room correction and mating to the subs… no issues…but the 2170 has other built in sound corrections one might actually prefer. 
 

With the 2170 the Spatials had tons of dynamics and punch…. The LRS displayed a beautiful midrange. Overall, I think the 2170 could work well with many speakers. 
 

I also heard the 2170 being used as a preamp driving the Halo A21…compared to the Lyngdorf amp, the sound produced by the Halo was better in every respect for the two speakers above…. but not by a big margin.

The 2170 IMHO needs fairly efficient speakers to shine.

It sounds like you have not considered Lyngdorf speakers?

BTW.  I ask because I have been reading up on the TDAI-1120 and so have also been becoming more familiar with the Lyngdorf product line.
