The New Synergistic Research Purple Fuses

A week ago I bought another tube amp. The amp uses a different size fuse. So of course I'll have to buy another purple fuse. But what a upgrade to the amp for $200.

Question: If I install a fuse in the wrong direction will it eventually "burn" into the desired directionality?
