Decware zen vs mc30/mc60 how do these compare?

I don’t have a way to hear these. Can anyone with experience describe their differences in sound? I plan on purchasing one of these three but I can’t hear them beforehand.

I have a McIntosh C2500 preamp and Forte III speakers.

They are way different Mac vs Decware. The MC60s will put out close to 90 watts. Two versions too. One with a choke the other is all tube rectified.

IF the right guy builds the Macs there is nothing like them, if not well they are 60+ years old. :-)

Decware. I owned there MB 60 watters 20 years ago. Little light in the bass department.. You have to be aware of speaker choice. Forte might be the ticket. 6 + month waiting list too... Macs 2 months for a rebuild 3 months with a case swap, and updates. MC30s to light in the pants.. 100-105 E speakers and then the bass might be a little light..

An MC240, might really surprise you.. Mike Samra.. He'll fix you right up..
IF he's available..

I know the zen is only 2 watts but it does get a lot of praise for those two watts. 90% of my listening is jazz so I’m not too concerned with the bass. I also have a dedicated sub so that also alleviates the bass need a bit.
I do love the idea of vintage McIntosh tubes though! Such a tough choice without hearing them at home first.
Hope he is still ok.. Keep looking. He is a true red sock green sock guy guy when it comes to Mcintosh, heck any gear he is a pretty sharp cookie. Man can he talk though.. BUT just a wealth of knowledge. He also teaches an automotive course at a private school. Saginaw Michigan.

LOL He’ll tell you the Madonna story, oh yea... Townies...

I remember, 68Cougar was his name, I think..
