Vanatoo speakers - should I get them for hifi sound?

Anyone familiar with Vanatoo transparent zero speakers?
Are they approaching real hifi sound?
...or at lest good midifi?

I am a music teacher and was considering recommending these for my students who are not willing to spend a fortune for sound - they think Bose is good enough...agh

I own the Zeros and use them in my office. Quite happy with them and prefer them over similarly prices audioengines. Better fidelity for sure and a more powerful set of options such as the onboard DAC, subwoofer output etc.
I use the small Bose soundlink for travel and have the Zeros in my office for computer monitors.  They are very good for a smaller room and better than the Bose in all aspects.
I am not familiar with the Zero speakers. But, I have to echo a remark from goose about Bose. Have traveled the audio road for many years and have owned all types of equipment. In my early years, and now, Bose was touted, mostly by the company, as being fine/best sounding gear. As a large corp., marketing is a huge tool for them. I will say from a lot of years of experience......BOSE IS MEDIOCRE/OVERPRICED equipment.
With some research and auditioning you can certainly find something much better than Bose at a lower cost. Hope your students don't fall into the "Bose trap" like so many did years ago.

I think that member called mapman has mentioned them before. Reach out to him nad ask for details. I believe he has a pair.
Yes.
I have transparent one encores. Heard them and zeros at a high end show. The room was mobbed and everyone impressed. Including me.
Lots of cutting edge technology applied to deliver a most cost effective product.

I also have KEF Ls 50. metas.  The Vanatoos compare favorably for ~ 1/3 the cost and everything you need.  Just provide the source either digital or analog.  Can be Bluetooth and still sound very good.
