A good amp to pair with McIntosh preamp

hi all,

I’m  curious if anyone has paired a Mcintosh preamp with another brand and what’s your experience?I’m currently running it though a Quad 99 150W amp but I don’t know if it’s ideal. It sounds great but I have a lingering doubt if it will be better if I match with McIntosh amp.

If you believe in system synergy as I do, a McIntosh power amp is the best match for your Mac preamp.  I tried my Mczintosh C2500 preamp with a Conrad Johnson MF2550 amp and did not like it one bit. I also tried it with an Odyssey Stratos amp which was better.   When I finally went to a Mac amp, everything fell into place.
